Wanted to read this since it was first published and finally picked up a second hand copy in a bookshop/cafe in Kells, Ireland (so a "Book of Kells") and I thoroughly enjoyed finding and reading it. Dr Purser was one of my lecturers (at Trinity College Dublin where the book of Kells is today). But that was about a decade before the book's story which I think is still makes for a good read today.
