"Is it possible that living you wanting more is a kind of seduction?..." First heard of Raj Persaud in a youtube TED talk, the speech he gave was most interesting, and convinced myself to check the books he wrote. Specially the ending bit of his presentation: I believe the title may be a little misleading, but again a title like " The psychology of being happy with yourself", couldn't have spiked some curiosity to start reading it. Simply irresistible, the power of seducing yourself!!!
First I discovered this book thru the author speech on TedEX when he talked about seduction, that was one of the best speeches ever to a point where I had to buy his book.
I believe this book is one of the best books on seduction and love. Since it is loaded with scientific researches on how both gender are seduced, what do they like physically?, why some marriages fail and others succeed? Not only that, but the author since he is a psychiatric, he made a test scale that measures certain qualities that you have. I have learned a lot of strategies on this book, full of wisdoms and good points.
I really enjoyed this book, which I bought after listening to his ted-talk. The book relied on "recent" research (book was published in 2008, so more research probably came out since) and I really enjoyed reading about the conclusions from the scientist exploring the field of attraction. To me, this book was more entertaining in that sense than a traditional self-help book, but still gives insights on what makes a relationship work or not.
The book is interesting, a lot of facts proven by studies are there. What I expected is more conclusions on the end. The end is too steep, and no lessons learned.
