Vergeen is a remarkable story of courage, survival, strength and endurance. Vergeen is a moving story of a 13 year old girl caught in the Armenian Genocide. The memoir reveals the atrocities and despicable acts Vergeen witnesses and fell victim to. The story is bittersweet and serves as an inspiration to all. This memoir is equal to The Diary of Anne Frank.

This is an outstanding book! The author, Mae Derdarian who was a woman ahead of her time, shares an incredible story of survival, determination and soul. Everyone should read Vergeen.
