While I can appreciate that our current model of treating (or rather trying to treat) addiction isn't incredibly effective, I am not sure the author wowed or amazed me with any viable solutions. Rehab has become a massive money-making industry and while I'm sure that most of the practitioners involved in it mean very well but it is unlikely that on one's first 30 day stint in rehab that it can undo all the habits and behaviors that have become second nature to an addict.
