Shelves: crime
Jason is a pharmacist who has a chequered back story, lost love, hidden reasons for behaviour and who is about to get himself mixed up in something very serious and potentially deadly, and very unrelated to his normal working days of dispensing pills and medicines.

The Cyclops Conspiracy starts slow but gradually ramps up the pace revealing a new twist and a new turn by the page, building to a very satisfying conclusion.

I wished the book could have picked up the pace a little earlier than it did

Fast-paced, interesting story-line about a pharmacist. Definitely one you should check out,

This is one of the best thrillers that I’ve read during the last few months. Its action moves at a cinematic pace and it easily takes hold of the reader’s attention, an attention it never lets go.
On first sight there’s nothing much going on in the world that the author invites us to enter; things look normal; extremely normal one might think. But as time goes by and as we turn one page after the other, things begin to change; or rather things start to become illuminated. So just under that pict

I really enjoy mystery and thrillers and this one sounded like a really interesting read being based around conspiracies. This story began in an interesting way for a thriller, right at the beginning you are told who is behind the conspiracy (so to say). At first I thought this was a little weird because I'm used to trying to guess who is behind the events happening. I found it was almost like working backwards through a story, you kno
It’s funny how we choose books sometimes. When I saw the book cover for The Cyclops Conspiracy by David Perry, I could only see a small thumbnail size picture of it. Given the title, I wasn’t sure what was going on with the cover, so I clicked to see it bigger. And, as long as I was looking at the cover, I read the description and then I was hooked. After all, I love a good political conspiracy thriller as much as the next person. The Cyclops Conspiracy is very timely, so if you’re in the mood f ...more

I was lucky enough to win this as a first reads. It is a first novel for Mr. Perry.
The book overall was very well done. All the elements of suspense are present. The build up was well done. My only criticism, and a slight one at that, is that the conspirators weren't as well developed as they could have been.
Well done, Mr. Perry.

Thought it was not quite believable and very cliche.

I loved that this was set in Newport News.

Chilling with memorable characters kept me turning the pages eager to find out what happened next. Quite the character study of evil characters bent on destruction.

“When a writer is able to experience the whole range of human emotions, from deep depressions to glorious highs, it creates a whole inventory of feelings and musings from which they can choose and infuse into their words and characters.” –David Perry
