"Cook Your Way Through The S.A.T." is the result of a home school project of the author when she was in the 7th and 8th grades. After reading this the book made a lot more sense.

The book format is that it lists a recipe and then uses 10 vocabulary words to characterize the recipe and it's ingredients in a paragraph. The paragraphs can be quite forced to accommodate the range of vocabulary that you would not likely to combine in a normal setting.

Creative idea for incorporating SAT vocab and reading it in context via fun-fact blurbs after each recipe. Includes a matching activity with each list of words. Would be fun paired with the similarly unconventional study guide Rock the SAT With CD .
