This story was pretty interesting, but I found it a bit too short for my liking. As with the other stories set in this universe, there were lots of graphic descriptions of violence and sex. I slipped quite quickly and easily into the setting, with only a little confusion as I tried to remember all of the different terminologies.

Humans don't come across as very nice or ethical in this. I felt sorry for the Lung-men and I'm curious to see what will happen with th

Paul’s publishing history includes a short story in Dark Horizons, (The British Fantasy Society’s fiction magazine) about a farm that bred humans for meat.
