Eclipse Phase is the post-apocalyptic game of transhuman conspiracy and horror. Technology allows the re-shaping of bodies and minds, but also creates opportunities for oppression and puts the capability for mass destruction in the hands of everyone. Other threats lurk in the devastated habitats of the Fall, dangers both familiar and alien. In this harsh setting, the players participate in a cross-faction conspiracy called Firewall that seeks to protect transhumanity from threats both internal and external. Along the way, they may find themselves hunting for prized technology in a gutted habitat falling from orbit, risking the hellish landscapes of a ruined Earth, or following the trail of a terrorist through militarized stations and isolationist habitats. Players may even find themselves stepping through a Pandora Gate, a wormhole to distant stars and the alien secrets beyond....

Rimward is the sourcebook for the outer solar system in the post-apocalyptic post-singularity RPG Eclipse Phase. It's also rather good hard SF in itself. Rimward's authors take the diverse environments of the outer solar system (any number of asteroid in a variety of locations, the surfaces of radiation-drenched Galilean moons, subsurface oceans, cryogenic nitrogen-methane surface of Titan, all sorts of cold dark ice moons) and people them with a diverse collection of creative, original cultures. The extensive attention played to the development of futuristic ideologies, like the technosocialism of Titan or the anarchism of the more dispersed outer worlds, shows. Well done.

I find the Outer Rim of the EP universe extremely interesting and exciting. A lot of dark places for spies, inquisitors, and investigators to lurk, and a lot of good leads for Firewall. Wish I could have run something involving Meathab.

Comme pour "Sunward", le supplément équivalent pour le système solaire intérieur, c'est passionnant, intelligent, et très inspirant !
