Just found out I won this in a GoodReads First Read contest. Can't wait to receive it so I can read and review it.

I have finished reading Ariel. This book took me a long time to get through. It felt like it dragged on forever.The book is only 287 pages which normally would take me 4-5 hours to read. This book took me days. I had to push myself to even finish it.

Ariel was a fantastic story. The characters were fun to get to know, as were the settings. I loved the angelic back story that Madison wove in through flashbacks from the main character. It was interesting to see life through an angel's eyes and to read the descriptions Madison attributed to them, as well as to the various realms of the afterlife.

Gabriel is a good story teller. The history behind the characters and their story was well told. Very detailed fighting scenes involving one tough angel! I'm curious to see if it will be a series.
