Had to read this with the boy for his book report. It was fine, but I felt the action could’ve been written and described a tad more. I actually do enjoy the tv series that these books are based on, and the book captured that. The boy didn’t seem to enthralled with it. I then had to read it for the girl, she told me she prefers pony stories. Fine for what it is.

Not a bad starter chapter book. Some background info into what character is what would have been helpful, but we didn't enjoy it less because of it. If we read more of this series, we'll definitely go back to more of #1, to start us out and learn who is who :)

This is the best out of the stories of the four ninja individually. I like Cole's strategy and ingenuity in this story. It's full of action and adventure. In fact it's the fastest paced out of all so far. It's one that hooks you right until the very end.

Cole proved he was a leader of a group of self-absorbed, clumsy ninja. Yay?

I didn't think it was possible for my son to love a new lego series/sets as much as he loves Star Wars, but that was before Lego Ninjago. The thing I love about this new series of cartoons and books, is each episode and each book teaches young readers a lesson. Being the huge book fanatic I am, I LOVE that Scholastic has released a new line of Ninajago chapter books. These books aren't just a huge hit for my son, but for many of the boys in his 1st grade class.

There were some parts in this book where you never, (and shouldn`t!) put down. It`s like, "I`m hanging on edge, what`s going to happen?" Trust me, if you`re a fantasy lover, you should read this book.
While the four of the ninjas are out on an adventure, their supplies magically disappears. They find ut it`s all from the Phantom Ninja. But in a while, they find out that they have to use special missions to find Cole. But it`s all a hoax.
Cole is the Phantom Ninja, but the legend is still true. Whi

This was a bedtime read aloud to the kids. The kids enjoyed it well enough. I'm going to try to avoid that section in the library so they don't see the others and ask for more. It's not that I didn't like it, it was just a bit boring for me. The tv show is so much better.
