This was a pleasant introduction to a range of political thinkers in the twentieth century. But remember: it is an introduction to political philosophers, but not political philosophy. Therefore the articles have the habit to focus to much on the (personal life of the) philosopher, and less on the bigger picture and bigger problems. Therefore I would not advise this book as a first introduction to political philosophy, but instead you can use it to become (more) familiar with some unknown author ...more
