I have been re-reading some of Lackey's Valdemar novels, and this series is one of my favorites.
Lackey has created an entire world and populated it with strange and sometimes wonderful characters.
No need to go into detail, as the book has been out for a long time, and seems to be fairly well known.

I reread Owlflight and Owlsight and am now almost halfway though Owlknight. Such great books!!!

I love anything written by Mercedes Lackey. Especially the Pawn of Magic series with Vanyl.
