This had all the makings of a 5 star read, yet....

I enjoyed this trilogy and was particularly satisfied that Ms Helm was unashamedly bold in standing by her Christian beliefs. No equivocation or attempts at pandering. This means a lot to this Christian gal (one whose righteousness is but a filthy rag).

Anyway, back to the book. The plot was certainly clever.

Oh. My. Word. This was not what I had expected! This is an amazing story, which had me thinking and at one point breaking out my Bible to do my own research. Even though this is a fictional story I was fascinated to see how the spiritual world might be at work around us. According to the Bible there is a spiritual battle being fought for us each day. It’s interesting to see the spiritual warfare that goes on in a persons life unseen by human eyes.

What if Elizabeth Bennett was meant for a special

Once again, Jane Austen's beloved masterpiece is being infiltrated with supernatural beings...although this time instead of violent, un-dead zombies or blood-sucking vampires, Jane Austen's characters are intermingling with guardian angels and heavenly hosts. Setting her story in Spartanburg, South Carolina in the year 1989, author Robin Helm begins The Guardian Trilogy by introducing readers to Xander (Darcy), Chief of all Guardian Angels, as he receives his new and mystifying assignment of pro ...more

This book was really not for me... I'm sure some people will love it, but it was all a bit much for me.

It's an interesting story that starts with the birth of baby Elizabeth Bennet who is identified as an important person in terms of her future influence. We see the little baby starting to grow up and how she is different to others her age. What we are also part of is her guardian angel, and the angels of others, protecting and guiding them from evil.

This is very heavy on bible references and w

Even though you find books that you want to read right now, you also find other books you want to read but know deep down that you are not really ready yet for the message it contains. You do, however, realize and know when the right time is to finally read it. This is that kind of book! Definitely did disappoint and better than I ever imagined! It's all encompassing! Looking forward to the journey that will lead me to finding out how it all ends!!

This is by far The best Christian fantasy book I’ve read! Everything is amazing! I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

I am a huge fantasy reader and lately I have been reading all the angel/demon books I can get my hands on so this gem from Amazon Kindle was just what I was looking for.
This is actually book 1, not book 2.

The book is about a higher angel sent to protect a baby born into a very religious family. The book is full of bible scriptures and good Christian people. I had to look and make sure I had picked fantasy and not religion. Anyway, the writing is pretty good and the story is moderately good. I f

Guardian: The Guardian Trilogy, Book 1.

Wow, this was a surprising excellent story, although, I shouldn't have been surprised, because Robin Helm writes wonderful stories. But, I have to admit I had Prejudice, thinking it might be a bit preachy, but everything was pulled together to make a true Pride/Prejudice/Supernatural story. With an Exceptionally, Blessed Elizabeth Bennet with, A very special Guardian Angel watching over her, as Dark Forces try to eliminate her. Do not be surprised if her Gu

Intriguing! I loved how the author, Robin M. Helm, wove the stories of Fitzwilliam Darcy, and Will Darcy and the two Elizabeths between the 1800 Jane Austen era and modern day era, and yet had them connected through mail passed down and passed up through family lawyers. The story contains a great deal of thought as the author blends the two Darcy characters into a 'time travel warp' where Fitzwilliam is having to establish himself into in a modern day society, and Will has gone back in time to m ...more

This book is a bit hard for me to review... I did like this book. I liked Xander and the other angels and enjoyed seeing their interactions. I thought it was interesting to see what could be happening in the spiritual realm. I thought the writing was well done too. I guess where I struggled was separating this book into more of a "What if" type of book. I know embellishments needed to be made for the story to work, but still. There were some other things I didn't care for as well thus my lower r ...more

This book was different with the humans and guardians that watch over Christians. As Christians we know there is a battle going on that we cannot see but we don't like to think about it a lot of the time. It took quite a bit of time to get into this book because it took quite a bit of time to set up all of the characters. I was just starting to enjoy it at the end of the book.

Could not put these books down. I know these are fiction, but I think spiritual warfare does go on and these books really make it seem real. Really makes you think. Enjoy.

Although I usually do not like books that use the names of Jane Austen characters but show no connection to the original story (in this case P&P) I am, however, very enthralled with this story. Yes, many of the characters have names from P&P but it is set in modern day USA and the dynamics and personalities are very different. I also do not like to be preached "at" even though I am a Christian and was fearful in reading the Amazon synopsis of the book that it would do just that. BUT I must say R ...more

Some day I need to write a full review of these books, because they are three of my absolute favorites. For now, I will say that I am in absolute awe of this story. At first, my concern was that it could be sacrilegious (at worst) or sappy (at best). This series is stunning. Sharply written, laugh-out-loud witty, beautifully Christian, and wonderfully romantic. The story is rich, and I can't get enough of it. Definitely one of the best tales I've read in a very long time. Pride and Prejudice mee ...more

Robin Helm's time revolves around music as she plays and teaches. Her books reflect that love, as well as her fascination with the paranormal and science fiction.
