This is a great introduction to birding. Birds are grouped by color, size, and habitat which is great for the novice birder who spots a little grey bird hopping around. Instead of wading through Sibley or Audubon, you can flip to "Small Grey Birds" and quickly find out it's a Dark-Eyed Junco. This book is with me most of the time, while my Sibley guide is usually at home.
