This was a first read of Jeffe Kennedy and it wont be my last.

Sapphire sucked me in from page one and I read this story in one sitting and didn't want it to end.

Sapphire was a wonderful read and Jeffe Kennedy is a talented writer. A good story with realistic characters and a different take on of a BDSM plot/storyline.

Taylor and Adam's journey was very emotional and at times it made my heart sting especially when she used her safe word. I actually said "NO" out loud.

An emotional read.

When do I know I'm going to love a book? When I'm writing notes within the first few minutes of starting it. I was only on page two of Sapphire by Jeffe Kennedy when I noted about the lead heroine "This buttoned up chick needs an orgasm or three" Taylor, is a career woman, a go-getter, a ball buster and that's pretty much all you know about her at first. I got the impression she was highly organised, that sex in her life was secondary to

Sapphire is a wicked sexy BDSM novella about control-freak and workaholic business woman, M. Taylor Hamilton. Watching her mother lose control of her life and having to take care of herself at a young age, Taylor strives to be nothing like her by remaining in complete control at all times, in every situation, and never losing her head over a man. But when a fellow businessman that she previously shot down corners Taylor on her boss’s yacht and pushes her into an illicit erotic encounter, Taylor’ ...more

I gave this book 4 full moons because it had me keep reading until the end. I had to stop reading certain parts to cool down though. =)
My hubby has always wondered why I loved reading romance and erotica. Books like this give me ideas on what we could together. =) Thank you, Jeffe Kennedy, for some ideas that I definitely wouldn't mind trying out...although there is one thing I won't's just too far out there for me. LOL

This book was just ok for me, I love the idea of the story, the strong, successful woman who craves the ability to give up control, even if she isn't aware that's what her turn on is, to an Alpha man who can give her what she needs. But for some reason the whole story and the characters left me a little cold. I don't have any other explanation other than it just didn't do it for me the what I expected it was going to. Maybe if it were a bit longer with some depth to the characters...I don't know ...more

This is a kinky dirty but fun book.

I have issue connecting with the hero and heroine, I especially find it difficult to connect with the heroine. I found her prickly, bitchy and unlikable.
That is one hot piece of cover! Awesome-sauce. Just by seeing the cover, without reading any description or anything, I was like "Hell yeah, I'm reading this!!"

So I did, thanks to NetGalley. Awesome place for us readers/bloggers. You should give it a visit if you're a book blogger, I'm loving it. But anyways, the book.
The first thing that makes it attractive, considering the genre, is the fact that it's rather short. I mean it's like 32k words I think, some 90 pages or something. Considering s

Taylor is a good name for M Taylor Hamilton; she's very buttoned up and tailored -- a go-go-go type, tightly wound. Yet Adam Karliss sees something in her that he recognizes, a longing to be tamed, perhaps. A wild something. When he handcuffs her to the railing of her boss's yacht, he tells her that she can stop him any time by using a safe word; Sapphire. He quickly takes over - bringing her to orgasm, forcing her to tell him she wants it, then abruptly letting her go.

Sapphire is a short read, but what it lacks in length it more than makes up for in content.

I found myself pushed to my emotional limits while reading Sapphire. Taylor guards herself so carefully, always staying in complete control of everything in her life. I’m always on the look out for a good BDSM romance to read, especially since my favorite author doesn’t write nearly as fast as I think she should. So when I ran across this Kennedy novella from Carina Press, I jumped on it.

Taylor is a successful business woman, she is driven and motivated and annoyingly prim and proper. When her peer and business contac

Let me start off this review by saying that I am not that familiar with BDSM. I don't read too many books about it and know very little about the lifestyle itself. I can't really comment as to the authenticity of the BDSM relationship and can only share my opinion of the characters and story and what I personally felt about it.

The book jumps right into things when Taylor Hamilton, buttoned up businesswoman, finds herself handcuffed to a yacht railing by her colleague Adam Kirliss. Adam's had hi

This is the first book that I have read that includes bondage. I wanted to know what this BDSM was about but had hesitations and didn't want to just pick up a random book about it. So, I chose this one specifically to read because I have gotten to know the author, Jeffe Kennedy, have read another book of hers (Rogue's Pawn) that was not erotic and really liked her writing.

Adam Kirliss has been interested in Taylor Hamilton since the day he met her. The are business associates and have worked tog

Taylor Hamilton has always known what she wants, when she wants it. She's climbed up the corporate ladder in hopes of netting herself the CEO position of the company she works for in the long run. Deep inside, she has a plan. One she hopes to make happen as time goes by. Unfortunately, Adam Kirliss won't make that so easy for her.

Adam is her partner at work, and is every bit as gorgeous and delectable as women have claimed him to be. Ironically, she never took notice of him until the night their

This may seem like a weird review, but let me say that it is the highest compliment. Because this is such a great book, I’m writing a crappy review (as in my writing of it, not in I didn’t like the book) – okay, let me explain… LOL

I read a lot of books, and lately have been in kind of a slump, not really caring for most of them and thus not even finishing reading them less reviewing them. And, as I read to review generally, I stop when a “review thought” hits me and take notes on my ereader. It

This was a very intense story from the very beginning about a woman trying to come to terms with her past and accept her womanly side in a man's world. There were quite a few scenes of BDSM used by Adam to gain the affection of Taylor. These scenes were evenly paced throughout the story and were very imaginative. I give the author credit for keeping things spicy. There were times that these scenes overshadowed character development though.

In the case of Adam in particular, once the story was ove

Sapphire is a short, intense story, easily read in one sitting. The intensity is what drew me in and kept me reading late into the night.

Taylor has no time for real pleasure, instead she finds pleasure working her way up the corporate ladder. One of her most recent triumphs included working with Adam Kirliss whom she intends to keep strictly as a business relationship. Taylor's curiosity is aroused by Adam's boldness and his offer. She's in need of a release from the stress of work and

Reviewing novellas is hard. I enjoyed this quick little BDSM erotic romance and Kennedy crammed as much character development into it as I think can reasonably fit into a book of this size. Taylor's story arc was well-defined and plausible, but Adam came off as inscrutable. He wants her, he likes her, but we never get much insight into his character--just one brief glimpse of his dreams and desires.

On the other hand, Adam is one of the most believable Doms I've come across in a romance novel. K

Sapphire is an erotic romance short story that focuses on the life of M. Taylor Hamilton, a successful business woman and Adam Kirliss, the rich and handsome business owner.

I’m a big fan of Jeffe Kennedy as a person, but have still not had the chance to read much of her work. I follow her on Facebook and Twitter and check out her Tumblr all the time. Taylor Hamilton is a balls to the wall ice queen who forces everyone to follow her rules. She learned the hard way that is better to control every aspect of her life rather than leaving anything to chance or to someone else's whims. One man threatens that control, Adam Kirliss.

Adam has wanted Taylor since the moment he laid eyes on her. What did he see? Someone who was just like him and maybe wanted the same things he did. But to get through to Taylor, he has to break through that icy exterior t

I don't a lot of (if any) erotica so my opinion comes from the perspective of a newbie of this genre. This is my second read by this author and I must admit,I do enjoy her style.

I found Sapphire to be a steamy snapshot into the BDSM lifestyle for the two lead characters. I enjoyed this short story. It moves along at a quick pace, yet the characters are developed enough for you to get to know them and buy in to the scenario that is created for you.

Holy hot sauce. Looking for 100 pages of pure erotica goodness? I think I found what you need. "Sticks and stones may break my bones but chains and whips excite me" played through my head while reading this book. Now now now .. come on... Right.. sorry. Now keep in mind this is a shorter book, so we don't have too much of an in depth look at both characters. Taylor, yes. Adam, not really. Which is okay. Surprisingly the way this is written its okay. Woowza!!! This was a steamy series! Yummy quick reads that were deliciously erotic!

The books are a series but not really connected in a manner that makes you read them in order. I do not usually agree that a series can be read stand alone but this is an exception.

The first book Sapphire was highly erotic! I was with the story from the beginning to the end! I loved the characters and was really rooting for them! Taylor had a tight hold on her control reigns and it took all of Adam's charm and cha
