This book isn't about shoes at all. It is brilliant. Consider it a Rorschach test as you read it.

I've given it to so many friends.

Simply substitute whatever their current struggle/priority/journey in life is about for the "shoes" (for example, "Jesus" or "grad school"). It is the perfect gift and certain to bring a grin to their lips.

This book found me. Twice. Of all of Monkton's books, this is my favorite.

A little novelty book given to me as a gift (it is very appropriate - I do love my shoes!). A funny poem, here is an example:

"Come to us, lady", said
the shoes, "and we will
make you BEAUTIFUL too.

"We alone can make you
blossom and flourish into
a glorious and whole and
COMPLETE human being"!

Just a bit fun. :o)

This is the dumbest book I've ever read. And the only reason I have it in my house is because my brother, who used to work for Simon & Schuster, included it in my daughter's Christmas box of books thinking it was for kids.

Pointless and kind of insulting toward women. Not surprising that it was written by a man. It's in my trash bin now.

It is a small book that I read during one of the bookfest in my town.
It is a cute cover book with minimal letters inside.
You couldn't help to smile when you read its content.
Shoes will always be the salvation for women- or ad least to few women..

Recommends it for: shoe addicts
I truly believe that if more men read this, they'd understand that the desire for expensive, beautiful shoes is based on need.

This is a quick read that justifies my love of shoes. :)

As someone who is not a shoe person at all (I basically own two pairs of shoes, and that is all), I think I finally get it. Hehe. Super quick, fun read.
