Lost Immortals #2

When Silver Moons Rise

Rate this book
Facing an unstable future, Chela Prizeon leaves Castle Hayne and crosses over to enemy territory in pursuit of Faris--the boy of royal blood who is cursed by a bitter rival. But soon Chela learns that he has been taken deep into the treacherous frozen prisons--a majestic, but deadly place where people enter and are never seen again. To find the boy she loves, Chela must join forces with one of her greatest enemies. And even though she pulls strength from the good in her powers, she finds herself drawn to the dark side's temptation as well.

Narrated from both Chela's and Faris's point of view, this enchanting sequel to When Copper Suns Fall will take them on a voyage into unknown lands, where the dark, twisted, and revengeful wait to make this their most dangerous journey ever.

OH. MY. WORD! KaSonndra Leigh, you have blown me away completely with this sequel to When Copper Suns Fall. I mean, I am literally trying to calm by beating heart and take deep breaths. This book is utterly fantabulous and I AM LITERALLY HAPPY DANCING about it!! That's how excited I am to have read this...Okay, I am going to calm down now and try to write a review that will make sense, instead of it being the rantings of a crazed woman fangirling LOL. First and foremost, I want to thank the wonderful and amazing author KaSonndra Leigh, for asking me to Beta Read Silver Moons, and all her books, for that matter. I am truly honoured and I can't thank her enough for being one of the first. It almost seems fitting since I was one of her first to have read Copper Suns and you all have no idea how long I've waited for this sequel *Ka knows by way of my constant emails EEEPPP LOL*

It would of been more than a year ago, when Ka asked me to read When Copper Suns Fall and I was blown away by her story and couldn't get enough of Faris and Chela, and needed to find out the next part to their story. Well, let me just say the next part is AMAZING and CAPTIVATING and EXCITING and LITERALLY had me at the edge of my seat. I am beyond floored and LOVE LOVE LOVE this book. What I love most is that it's told in both Chela and Faris's POV and that you get to embark on a journey that you wish would go on forever. A journey, which continues on from Copper Suns.
Chela, who is bonded to Faris in every way, must, and needs to, find Faris. She has no choice, as her heart and body wills her so. She willingly goes against everyone and everything and teams up with the very unlikely, yet very delicious and tasty, Seth Alton. Faris's half-brother and enemy to them both. Seth, who is devious and manipulative in every way, has other plans of his own, and I loved how much his story unfolded and there is this rawness to him that he hides so perfectly well. But, Chela somehow breaks him, or he may be already broken and there is more to him than he lets on...RAWR. Having no choice in the matter, and against her better judgement, Chela gives in and accepts his help to find the ice-prison that Faris is held in and they go through everything to try and get to him. While they are finding their way to him, Faris is battling his own demons by relieving the past and being tortured by his captives, one being a disgusting witch, Olivia (oh how I loathe her grrrrrr). You will all see for yourself once you read this book. I could feel Faris's torment and pain, how much he was hurting, both physically and emotionally. All I wanted to do was wrap my arms around him and take it all away from him. The only thing keeping him alive and sane was his love for Chela and the brief moments that they manage to steal through their bond.

I love how fast Silver Moons read and all I wanted was to savour every last word. Before I knew it, I read the last word and wanted more. Thank goodness book 3 is not that far off. While eagerly reading every page, I could feel how much Ka loves these characters and the world she has created for them. So much love and thought has gone into breathing life into them and it was so easy for me to get sucked right back in. Not only was the story RIVETING and THRILLING with all the goings on and action, but it was breathtakingly BEAUTIFUL and HAUNTINGLY torturous. My heart was breaking so many times reading Faris's POV, yet at the same time, I fell in LOVE with the very BAD and VILLAINOUS Seth *fans self just thinking about him and can't believe I was feeling this way about him* He oozes such sex appeal and makes you want to be bad also hehe, yet underneath, you know how much he is suffering and this made me fall in love with him. I love a wounded soul and he literally jumped out in front of me and caught me by surprise in this book. I mean, I love Faris, don't get me wrong, but I have room in my heart for both them and I will gladly keep them there. You will to when you read this, you really can't help yourself. And, this is all credit to the authors ability to capture your heart through her words.

When Silver Moons Rise is not only a story about courage and honour, and faith. But, it's also a story about what someone is willing to do, and sacrifice, for the one they love. It's about going against everything and everyone, and to fight for what you believe in. It's about finding strength when you thought you had given it your all and it's about finding the light, in the most darkest of places. If you have read When Copper Suns Fall, then you know you have to read this book...there really is no choice in the matter. You cannot go on without picking this book up and going on this journey with Chela, Faris and Seth. And, for those who have not even read the first book in this series, I ask, what are you waiting for? You really need to go and get it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this series, and hope you all to do. Bravo KaSonndra Leigh, bring on the next book EEEEEEPPPPPPPP!!!!

My stomach was in knots the whole time I was reading this book, so I gave myself a night to recoup before writing my review! When Silver Moons Rise brings us back into KaSonndra Leigh's fascinating and eerie world of seraphim, magic, and vengeance, and it was one hell of a thrilling ride!

Chela and Faris were truly put to the test in the first book of the Lost Immortals series, and I was anxious to see what they would have to face on the next leg of their journey. Chela is living in a state of unrest, wondering and worrying about Faris to the point it's driving her mad. But when she feels through their bond the unbearable torture he's being put through, she's had enough. And lordy, so had I, because there were some seriously challenging scenes to get through that had me needing a breather I was so upset! I was so relieved when Chela decided to head off to find her love, unable to stand another day of her life doing nothing to be with Faris again. It wasn't going to be an easy journey for her, though, even with the help of friends. And when she makes the difficult decision to part ways and go at it on her own, she meets up with and gets help from the very boy she despised-Faris' Tainted brother Seth!

This story was such an adventure, and I couldn't help but get sucked into Chela's desperate need to find Faris and his determination to find his way back to her. My heart was just breaking for Faris, he was enduring so much pain and torment at the hands of the malicious Olivia (I had such evil thoughts about this character...), and he was already fighting the beast within thanks to the curse placed on him and his family. He's so strong, though, and it just made me fall for him even harder as I watched him refuse to break through the torture!! And Chela once again showed such strength, I adore this girl and her unwillingness to give up on her love. It just made the moments they shared through their bond and their eventual reunion that much more intense, and I love it!

When Seth came into the picture, I had so much residual hatred for him right along with Chela, and I wasn't sure what to make of his apparent personality transplant. But as we are given glimpses into Seth and Faris' past, it becomes clear that they were molded into who they are now by those events. As much as Seth had let the darkness take over, there is a part of him that remains in touch with what is right, and knowing what was done to him to make him Tainted was just crushing. Yep, that's the bad-boy lover in me just itching to fall for this sexy deviant!! We see so much more of his personality this time around, though, and it makes it hard to believe that he's not redeemable, even though his hatred for his brother runs deep. I could never want Chela and Faris to not get their happy ever after together, but now I just want Seth to fit in there somewhere, too!!

There are so many revelations in this second book of the Lost Immortals series, from the curse on Faris and his siblings to the reason behind Seth's hatred, and the constant threat of danger for Chela and Faris was so unsettling!! KaSonndra keeps you on pins and needles right up to the very end, and then grabs you right back in with an ending that promises more incredible twist and turns to come. I'm now left itching to get my hands on the next book, and crossing my fingers the wait won't be too long because I so need more of these incredible characters and their journey!

WOW once again the gorgeous and talented KaSonndra has done it again, just when i think her writing cannot get any better she proves me wrong.

Firstly i would like to thank my dear friend and author of this amazing Book KaSonndra Leigh for giving me the honour of reading an ARC of this book.

Its been a while now since i got asked to review the first installment of the Lost Immortals which was called "When Copper Suns Fall" and this was the first book of hers i had read and i LOVED LOVED IT, and ever since then i am always looking out for KaSonndras books as i know they will be Epic, as she is one of those authors that can write a book in any genre and it will be amazing. Now back to When Silver Moons Rise, one of the things i love about books is when they told in the POV of both main characters and this one was. When Copper Suns Fall was one hell of a journey and this one was was one hell of a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

Chela needs to find Faris she will do anything to find him, she even teams up with Seth (Faris's half brother) who she despises, thats how desparate she is to be reunited with Faris. Meanwhile Faris is in the ice-prison is being tortured, he is in a very dark place and during this time i was nearly in tears yelling "NNNNNNOOOOO" poor gorgeous Faris you feel his pain, you feel like you are in the room with him, but at the same time he is also desparate need to be with Chela, he needs her she is his reason for being so strong through all that he is going through.

This journey i found was more intense than the first but damm it was disturbingly beautiful. KaSonndra keeps you at the edge of your seat through the whole book, you need to know whats going to happen next. If you havent read "when coppers suns fall" READ IT NOW, and then read this. I know once you read it you will keep it close to your heart as i do. I cannot wait to see what journey we are taken on in book 3.

I will start out by thanking KaSonndra Leigh for providing me with an Advances Reader's Copy of her second book in this series. It was only a year ago I was first introduced into this world of hers when I read When Copper Suns Fall as part of a read to review program here on goodreads.

When Silver Moons Rise is the second book in the Lost Immortals series where we follow our heroine Chela in the quest for finding her lover, Faris, whilst his brother, Seth, is tagging along with his own hidden mission. It is a fast paced story of love, betrayal and angelic and demonic powers.

Now this book takes off exactly where we left off the last time and it keeps fuelling the readers mind to keep reading. Heck I read 70% of it today in one go! It captures the typical fan of YA with sub-genres of romance, dystopian, angels, demons, 'were' creatures and rebels and corrupt governments.

I loved this one maybe more than the first due to Seth. I will admit in book one I was team Faris but Seth just stirs something inside me (God help me!). He is the ultimate bad boy who even warns you about his nature of schemes and betrayals yet his charms makes you lower your guard and then he hits. He is an amazingly well developed character and my favourite.

In the beginning Chela travels with her best friend Jalen and a kick ass girl named Desi yet they are separated... We do not hear of these two again in this book and it makes me wonder - where are they? Are they all right? Did they accomplish their mission? How did Jalen feel when he realised what Chela did?? KASONNDRA I WANT TO KNOW WHY!!! But luckily this awesome author is halfway writing book three and I cannot wait!

KaSonndra Leigh has done an amazing job once again with When Silver Moons Rise. I love this series, there is always some new twist and turn, that keeps the readers captivated. Simply EPIC.

Faris and Chela's love for one another is being tested like never before. Chela is willing to travel to the Dim Cities to save him, however, she has a friend who has decided to tag along, Seth, Fairs' half brother and arch rival.

Through this adventure with Seth, Faris and Chela, they all seem to face new challenge's each step of the way, not knowing if they are going to survive each day has become tense.

Chela and Faris's love seems to be one for the books, its one to die for. You can only dream and read about this kind of love. The connection they have with one another is surreal. The emotions the character's bring out of the reader is amazing, I laughed, I cried and I got angry, but through it all I felt that KaSonndra was flawless with her writing on When Silver Moons Rise. I can't wait for the third in The Immortal Series, I highly recommend this series to anyone. I will continue to follow KaSonndra's work because I feel she has such a talent with words that just keeps her readers in a trance.

Wow!!! KaSonndra Leigh has delivered on the second book in the Lost Immortals series. Fasten your seatbelt and secure all objects because you are in for a wild ride.

Chela Prizeon is back with her family and friends. Micah, her brother, is recovering from the coma he was in. Chela should be happy, but someone is missing from this happy reunion. Where is Faris, the boy who has captured her heart? He has been gone for months. Chela learns that Faris is being held in the ice prison. With the help of her friends and some unlikely allies, Chela is determined to save Faris. She has a very treacherous journey ahead of her that will test her strength and her love for Faris.

The author was able to create a captivating cast of characters that come to life through vivid details. I love that we learn more about Faris, and how he was cursed. If you are looking for a fantasy book that is full of action, suspense and a little romance, then this is the book for you. I will be anxiously waiting on the next installment.

I am really glad I got a chance to read When Silver Moon Rise, The second book in the immortal series, because this story was much more intense than the first one.

Faris is imprisoned in The Frozen Prison, and Chela is determined break him out. Along the way, she meets Seth, and they make a pact to head over to the Frozen Prison together, although Chela can't help but wonder if there is any hidden agenda behind Seth's actions.

This story is full of danger, adventure, romance, mystery. Everything a good story should have. Oh, and that ending!! Faris and Chela's reunion is all worth it after everything she's gone through as she fought her way to get to him. I can't wait to read the third book in the series.

When Silver Moons Rise By Kasonndra Leigh

YATR review Panel

OMG.. this book was so full of action, love, and a mean broken hearted witch with a major grudge.
And do you all remember Seth? How can you forget him.. He's the hot bad boy Tainted who just happens to be Faris' big brother. He was a total jerk in the last book but you still loved him a tiny bit. In Silver Moons he's till that baddy you love to hate but you see another side of him that you didn't get to see before. He's more vulnerable now that Faris has taken his power. He's still strong, to a point, but just a little less Seth like. I love the bad boys and Seth just makes me swoon. He's got that sexy little grin that lets you know he's up to no good but you just don't care. Oh Seth take me away.. sorry.. got a bit carried away there. LOL

This time around Kasonndra used both Chela and Faris' POV's. I love that. It lets you totally get into a book more. now i know some people don't like that. They think its confusing but not here. While Faris was duped, taken hostage, d locked away in the ice witches dungeon you felt his pain. You saw his visions with him. His memories of his childhood and how they kept him from totally loosing himself. You were there with him while he was being beaten and left almost
near death. You felt how much love he has for Chela every time he remembered her face, her smile. Chela is his heart. Faris has his own "demons" to fight while he's locked away. What else does he have. He will do anything to get back to his love and he fights with all he has to do just that.

Chela's POV is just as great. Chela has grown more into herself. She's totally different. Gone is the little lost girl and now
we have a bad ass Seraph who is determined to find her love, bring him back, and safe her people at the same time.
Chela leaves her life and goes off to find Faris. Along the way she runs into Seth. She doesn't quite trust him and you
totally don't blame her. He's the bad guy right? Or is he? Chela has a way a seeing things in people that they don't see in themselves. She is starting to believe in Seth even though he acts all tough and hard. She can see through that.

He saves her more times than once. Chela doesn't quite understand why. All she knows is that to save Faris and his sister Asa they need Seth and if that means trusting him than that's just what she's going to do.

Wow! is all i have to say right now. I am in total awe with this book. I want to know more about Jalen and what's up with him. How is he so strong and fast when he's only human. Isn't he?? Is there something there between him and Desi? I want more of Chela and Faris and of course our house bad boy Seth. Total drool worthy in my opinion. :)
The Third book can't come out soon enough for me.

If you haven't started this trilogy yet i suggest you do now. grab your copy and start reading. You will not regret it and
you might just find that you have a new favorite Author to stalk around like i do. Kasonndra Leigh is the best.

Katnis Everdeen might be known as the girl who was on fire. But Chela Prizon isn't just known as a girl on fire... she IS the girl on fire!

And what is she after now?

LOVE!!

Her love has been kidnapped and it's up to Chela to find him.

With the blessing of her brother she's on her own to find her one true love.

The man who makes her heart beat in time with his.

Faris

But it's not an easy adventure. Chela is faced with difficult tasks and decisions that could cost her her life. And if love isn't worth fighting for... I don't want to know what is.

This is definitely an adventure that you'll want to go on. After Copper Suns how can you not?

But, I'm sure you guys want to know how this book made me feel. Well, that's easy.... GO HERE

Yeah, just like that.

This book picks up right where the first one left off. Faris has left to try and break the curse of the beast and is imprisoned in the frozen ice prison. Chela is trying to find him and figure out how to break the curse. She finds that the only way she can survive the journey is to enlist the help of Faris' brother Seth. She has to try and stay firm in her resolve to not give in to Seth's idea that she should become Tainted like him and give into her darker side.
I really enjoyed this second installment. It is told from the dual POV of both Chela and Faris which helps form the whole picture of what is happening to both of them during the story. Faris is being beaten and tortured and Chela can feel him because of their bond, but cannot find him until Seth arrives and offers to help her. Seth has an ulterior motive though and Chela ends up owing him more than she bargained for. The pace moves quickly and there is not much downtime in the entire story. I thought the storyline was well written and that things flowed well between the two perspectives. The scenes were very descriptive and I could feel both Chela's struggles and Faris' pain. Seth was almost likeable there for a minute, but then he goes and does things which make you hate him the next. He is the most mysterious of all the characters because you never know whose side he is really on. I liked that this book focused more on fewer characters which made it less confusing than the first book.
My only complaints for this story was that I thought that Chela lacked some of her strength and intelligence that she possessed in the first book. She made some very dumb mistakes in this story that she should have been able to see coming. I was also disappointed that we spent the whole first book waiting for her brother to come out of the coma and then he played such a small part of this story. I didn't get to really even know anything about him or feel connected to him, but hopefully he will play a bigger role in the next one. I thought this was a good read overall and I am enjoying this series very much. I can't wait to find out what happens.

A love story for those who love fantasy, adventure and the paranormal.

Even if you did not read “When Copper Suns Fall” you can still read this and not be lost, although it will make it easier if you have read the first book.

Chela and Faris were separated, but their love for each other would not stop them.

In a world where the angel-bloods are hunted for their blood, the war rages on. Faris has been captured and imprisoned by Olivia, the woman he was once to marry to keep the peace between lands. He is tortured daily, but the beast in him will not arise.

Chela is determined to find and release her one true love, no matter how difficult the journey, and who decides to join her. Seth has a secret of his own, and has been cursed by a wicked queen.

Written through the eyes of both Chela and Faris, travel along with Chela as she keeps her identity a secret while setting out to free Faris and be united with him. You’ll feel the torture that Faris is put through, the love and determination from Chela even when she is confused as to what Seth is planning and try to decide what Seth has set out to do, all the while helping Chela. You won’t want to put the book down until you are finished.

I received a copy of this book, in exchange of an honest review and OMG let me tell you, KaSonndra has done it again. I love the way she writes, the stories always drag you in and that's exactly what happened to me. When I first started reading this book, it dragged me in from the very beginning and I couldn't put it down, I even had dreams about it lol. I love the connections the characters have with one another, Chela and Faris' love is one that we all dream of, they are perfect for each other. The story kept bringing dfferent emotions out of me, I would laugh at times and some other ones, I would cry and that's what I love about this book. I would highly recommend it to everyone, I enjoyed this book so, so much that I would read it over and over again. Well done KaSonndra, as always your work is amazing and I can't wait for the next book to come out. Thank you for being so awesome <3 ;)

Kasonndra has done it again . The second installment of Lost Immortals totally rocked my world filled with love, romance, suspense and paranormal craziness!! Once again I am capitaved by the heroine Chela and her love for Faris and the people she has been destined to protect. The bond that exist between her and Faris is like no other and has been intensified in the second book with a plethora of episodes that will suck you in. Seth raises his , well not so ugly, evil head but is strategically positioned to be chela's protector. How Kassondra made me slightly feel for Seth is beyond me. There was an appreciation for his character that surfaced in this book. Powerful writing is the culprit I should say. Love it love it love it!!! I'm so hooked!! Thanks again to Kassondra for creating this world for all of us to enjoy.

I need book 3!!

KaSonndra Leigh has me so sucked into this world. It's such a ride from beginning to end.

Chela is at a loss with her seperation from Faris. Her friends are worried about her especially since having Micah back home doesn't seem to help. On a mission to rid himself of the beast and to find his sister, Asa, Faris sets off and finds himself imprisoned. Knowing something is wrong Chela, along with Desi and Jalen go in search of him and Tobie.

Of course Chela crosses paths with Seth in all his brooding Spike-like darkness. So much happens!!!! We meet new characters linked to the past. We learn what happened with Seth, Asa, and Faris when they were younger. But there is so much still to learn! Ahhhhhhh I seriously need book 3. We need more Faris and Seth!

KaSonndra Leigh is just an amazing talented writer!! This book was just as good as When Copper Suns fall and it picks right up where the first one left off!! I loved the fact that it had just as much action and drama as the first book and it too leaves me wanting to read the next wonderful book in this series!! The descriptions and feelings of the characters play into this book so much that i could just picture it all happening in my head as i read. I read this book pretty much straight thru in one setting.... it was so good i didnt want to stop reading to do anything else!!
I look forward to the rest of this tale to see what happens with Chela and Faris and hopefully read Seth and Asa's Story!
Thank you KaSonndra for a wonderful book!! You really rock!!!

I have read this book as a beta reader, so I got it when there were "mistakes" still in the book! I found nothing in this book that would allow me to walk away from it.The first book perfectly eased into this one! The trials of Chela and Feris and Seth continued and, in fact, grew worse! Despite the problems in the first book, the three found that some things were beyond their control, and they must rely on people they'd rather not have to be around at all.
The story was well-written and exciting! This was a perfect continuation of a story that is still not done! I can barely wait for the next one!
Great book, KaSonndra Leigh!!!!!

Silver Moons, oh Silver Moons. A solid 3.75.

When I think of how pleasantly surprised I was by When Copper Suns Fall and compare it to my reaction to When Silver Moons Rise, I kinda go giddy all over. Chela Prizeon is one of my favorite heroines in a pool of otherwise dead-weight protagonists. "Chela is the girl of fire and light, an ancestor of the Royal Order of Seraphim." She maintains her headstrong willfulness, her thoughtfulness, her kindness which shouldn't be mistaken for weakness. Her life has come crashing down around her in the past few weeks and she flounders in aftermath before deciding her beacon, her calling, lies in the rescue of her trapped Protector, Faris Indrail.

He's being held in the Ice Prisons overseen by the Silver Witch, Olivia, whose fury hell couldn't wish to match. Her motives may be simple, but her execution is simply not to be reckoned with. I sure as sunshine wouldn't touch a broad who threatened that "By the time I'm done with you, there won't be any other name you'll call except mine. That's how long you'll beg for mercy."

Six white butterflies flutter around her head and then disappear in puffs of smoke. Mothball odors fill the air, stinging my nostrils. A white cat slinks into the room, strolling along as though it owns the place. It glides toward Olivia and rubs against her legs. Outside the house, the wind howls and blends in with the screams of the people held in the prisons scattered across the land. The sound disturbs me and brings up thoughts of my mother and sister. How does someone live this way?
ARC, page 24

She's not the only villain we love to hate. While Faris is fighting to keep his sanity while suffering the brutal, ongoing torture of Olivia the Silver Witch, Chela is fighting her way to him, all alone. That is, until our favorite bad guy arrives on the scene to--of all things--offer his help.

"You want some of me?" he says through shaky breaths as he uses strong hands to press down on my windpipe. "Then you've got to work for it."

(Well, kinda. Haha.)

I don't know how to exactly articulate my feelings about Seth Alton. Whether he really is the enemy or just a bad boy to stick on as the third leg in a triangular romance, I can never tell. The lines between them are blurred so far in Silver Moons that I get nervous (and, somehow, though I'm loath to admit such a thing... excited?!) thinking about it. Aside from that, though, his overall character, "[a] hybrid. Rare and young. A pet to bring up in Bernael's image. Someone who has both good and evil inside him. Dangerous yet beautiful," calls to my love of conflicted malevolent things. He is, literally and figuratively (I think), the part of Chela that I would totally justify in a love triangle. Because when it's real, when you're really torn between two halves of yourself, it should be that way--deciding to accept one side of yourself that you cannot live with while making peace with the fact that you truly love the other side of yourself but will never be enough.

Anyhow, while character focus is my favorite segment of this book, and this review, there are other elements that both were and weren't as impressive. Namely, the writing. An aspect of the writing is almost ethereal sometimes and can be seductive or frightening--very versatile, fitting the mercurial security of the dystpoian layout rife with rebel outcasts, strictly controlled government cities, threats from all sides that creep behind thin veils of a perceived utopia. The tone, while a bit darker than When Copper Suns Fall, followed appropriate contours and, usually, served to enhance each scene, each emotion, each turn of the plot.

What felt off was the scattered, haphazard erraticism of the characters' thought processes. I want to describe it as an over-reasoning for lack of better descriptor. Mostly when characters have to do something they don't want to. The reader witnesses the initial reaction, the thoughts behind those reactions, the reasoning, the change in perspective, the "credence," the turnaround, the secondary/final reaction, then the speech behind their shift in decision. It was a bit overkill to see things go through their heads and then have them justify it out loud as well. Let actions speak, Leigh! (Now that I think of it, that what really only a Chela POV problem.)

Also, yes, it has been a while since I read Copper Suns, so I appreciated imbedded reminders of the past into the narrative, but in the beginning there are so many, and so frequently, that I lost count. I understand that it could be relative to Chela's emotional ties to what happened, but it didn't feel that way as I read phrases like "He glared at me just as he did back in Oceania" (not a real quote, just as example) five freakin' timessss.

And God Almighty, can we get some specificity please! We get all these whacky terms for some things--schorl, Epiclesium, sedwig; there's a whole glossary at the start of the book to describe more than 20 terms--and yet some things get thrown to the wayside. Like, "octopus weapon," Seth's weapon of choice. Really? "Dress with spikes." Uh? "All-white armor." Okay...

Anyway. My last complaint, and the thing that knocked this down from a full 4 stars... Nothing really... happened. It was very much a victim of second-book-in-a-series syndrome in that over half the book was comprised of discoveries of the past or literal static (by that, I mean, yes, there was action, as is people interacting, but there was no progression). Granted, it makes total sense why Faris' sections would be stilted in terms of progression, but that doesn't change the fact of the matter. Not that I didn't enjoy it, either. Quite the contrary!

So, yeah, it's a transition novel, and yeah, the kinks could be worked out of a few wrinkles in the otherwise fabulous worldbuilding, and yeah, blah blah blah, but you know what? I enjoyed every single second of this book, and I am honored that I was selected to receive an advanced reader copy. With its release tomorrow, I hope more if not just as many people love it as Copper Suns because it's worth every bit of support it gets and more. KaSonndra Leigh has done it yet again, and I'm hooked for the next adventure Chela, Faris, Seth and Asa tackle. I know it'll be just as enticing as the past two have been.

The rage is like a tidal wave: intriguing, powerful, dangerous--a natural force that calls to your curiosity, hypnotizing you with its massive beauty. You stand there and watch the waters rise, even though you know you'll die when it falls. Tell me, seraph. What will you do when the dark power of the tidal wave calls to you?

Where do I start with this awesome second book to the “Lost Immortals” series? It had action, some twists and turns and I started to like a person I never thought I would like. Damn Seth for having a good side with his bad boy attitude!

The author knows how to write her plots. I loved every moment of it and I wasn’t bored not once throughout this story. While Chela is in search for Faris, things happen which cause her to split up with her friends. When she gets into trouble, she's saved unexpectedly by Seth. Hello! Seth actually saving someone! Faris is trapped, and while he’s tormented you get to read about his past. You learn more about his sister Asa and even more about Seth. The past explains also how the three of them first get their curses. What makes this book even more interesting is the fact that now people with angel in them, which are being captured and drained of their blood. This makes it a lot worse for our gang and hoping everyone turns out find in the end is what you hope for till the very end of this book.

Chela is just as strong as ever. She never backs down from a fight, and she always stands up for herself and what she believes in. Even when she doesn’t want to stand up for someone, she does it anyways because it’s the right thing to do. We don’t see much of her powers in this book, but by the end of the book something happens and she gets a all new strange power. What surprises me most is her reaction towards Seth. Sure she’s weary of him, but that doesn’t last long and I feel that there is something between the two. I know that she loves Faris, but I just don’t know with how this book will end. Chela’s mind is a mystery and I do hope it gets more interesting in the next few books.

Don’t mind me if I say that Seth has gotten so much more appealing in this book then in the last. He has a bad boy attitude, willing to hurt people without caring. This book shows his his more intimate moments and other emotions. Chela is the one that brings this positivity from him. What I would give to be with a guy like him and calm his damage heart. I always end up falling for the second guy of any book and I can’t wait to see more of his and Chela’s adventure together, with Faris in the mix!

Faris spent most of his time in this book locked up. I couldn’t believe how strong he is. His strength comes from wanting to reunite with Chela, and I think this is romantic. I still don’t understand why he’s so scared of his beast self. Twice now he has turned into his beast form around Chela and NOT ONCE HAS HE HURT HER. Sure, she’s standing right there and could have told him that, but in this rare moment of her not asserting her views, he continues to think his beast form is bad. If anything, I just want to go up to him in his beast form and lay against him petting him. That’s how cute I find him, not scary in my eyes at all.

**I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.**

This book was an incredibly well done sequel! The first one had so much going on it was hard to grasp everything I needed to know, and there were so many secrets revealed it took a lot to keep up. But I love the mix of genres the author gives us dystopian plus paranormal. I'm jealous I didn't think of it first, and I'm still reeling from everything that's happened. This book was action packed from start to finish!

The story continues not too long after the events at the end of the first book, but this time the narration is split between Faris and Chela's points of view. Faris was a mystery to me with a lot of secrets last time around, and I was excited to see things from his perspective and learn more about his background and who he really is. He has to be strong to endure the torture he's under while Chela is making her way to rescue him.

Chela is a strong female lead, which I always admire, and she takes risks to protect the people she loves. Sometimes she will make a decision that I can see leading to disastrous consequences, but she does the best she can. From the beginning to the end of the book, I don't think she had one moment of rest - there was always action involving her. My favorite Chela characteristic is that she always looks for the good in people, and I believe that helps guide her through the most difficult times she has faced. I really love that about her.

There's something about Seth that's really magnetic - the fact that he's a bad boy helps! In books I read, I can't help but fall for guys like Seth, and I couldn't get enough of him. Every chapter he was in was my favorite. :) It's really crazy, too, because as much as I love Seth even with the things he's done, I still adore Faris, too. They couldn't be more different, but there are aspects of both of them that are really attractive.

I was completely stunned by the ending - I won't give anything away, but I will say I'm anxiously waiting to read book three!

I loved this book even more than book one, which I also loved. It's a great series.

I really connected with the characters in book one, and even more so in this one. I think Chela is a really strong person, and love the connection she has with Faris. I am still not sure what to think of Seth, he makes you start to think he isn't all bad, and then he does something to change your mind. It's a back and forth thing for sure.

I felt so bad for Faris on some things that happen in this book, but won't be telling you what, as I don't want to spoil anything. I really enjoyed taking the journey with Chela into the Dim cities to try and find Faris. I really liked the memories of the past Faris did, it sure helped me learn so much more about him and Seth,a s well as their sister. It helped me see why Seth is like he is, as well as Faris.

I was a little shocked at the ending, which I won't tell you about, but now it has me eager for the next book.

I will need to stop here, as I will start saying too much I am afraid, but I do hope you give this series a chance. If you like books about angels or paranormal books in general, I believe you would like this. It's not just that, it's also a dystopian type setting too, which really makes this all very interesting too.

I give this book huge 5 stars out of 5. I highly recommend it. I also love the cover, very cool looking.

I was provided a copy of this book by the author for my honest review.

Action, love and humor - this book has it all.

Chela is absolutely amazing and I really like her. She learns a lot more about her powers and herself in this installment and I keep being amazed by how cool this girl is. She is smart and courageous and her journey (both mental and physical) is very interesting.

I'm having a hard time choosing between Seth and Faris - they are both awesome! The connection between Faris and Chela is so strong and they are so great together, but Seth is so damn cute! But still, no real love triangle shows its ugly face - thank you for that, KaSonndra Leigh.

I'm not a huge fan of angles in YA litterateur, but these angels are different! They have cool powers and they are H-O-T.

The chapters differs between Chela and Faris, which gives us an opportunity to get to know both characters so well; Chela during her journey and Faris in his prison, remembering his past. Oh, I loved hearing about his past! These characters have so much to give and they keep amazing me.

I liked this book a lot more than the first in the series - probably because I had background info this time! This series is definitely worth checking out!

I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Sadly, this book was a lot more about the angel side of things then it was dystopian, which sucked for me. I just found When Silver Moons Rise to be long and kind of boring. I was trying to not fall asleep throughout. There is a lot of interesting information to take in and a lot of it. I wasn't a fan. I did enjoy how the story flipped between Faris and Chela's POV's. I feel like most of the questions brought up had been answered.
The same characters, well for the most part are still kicking around but I felt like this book was more focused on Seth and his softer side. I am still convinced that there is a love triangle plus one, that one being Jalen. So who know what will happen in book three. I still want more Micha! My hunger for him wasn't met.
I'm not sure if this series is for me, so I am on the fence whether or not to pick up book three. I would recommend this book to angel lovers.

This starts out a little after book 1 left off. Chela must go on a journey to find Faris and she must find strength to team up with an unlikely ally. I loved that it was in both Chela's and Faris' points of view, I CANNOT wait for more in this series!!
