This is not really a bad book. The problem with it is that there are too many things that should have been resolved, but weren't. All the mistery about the shoes, about Berenguela's true obsession, about the plague, about the letters Berenguela (and then Alfonso X) received... there are not concret answers for all this questions, and i was really expecting for them. Great, fascinating, scrupulous. The drafting was singular, without covering many background details without losing the context and dialog nonetheless.

Even when this is based in past events, it never loses the chronological order.
The only flaw with this book is the minor starring of the protagonist.

A fascinating book that ill love to read again, and again.
