He succumbs to her smile and radiance and teeters on the fence between friendship and lovers. Delilah demands more after seeing Grim, his friend, let his emotions claim another. Now she wants commitment. She wants love from the grumpy biker. But how can he give her love when she isn't his mate? He's trying to protect her, so he does the unthinkable. Hawke pushes her away.
So, she runs. And it was then he realized he couldn't live without her, mate or not. Hawke will spend all his time with her until his wolf goes rabid. He's going to find her and make sure she never leaves his sight again.

Hawke de de Vera Foxx serie Iron Fang libro 2
Argumento:
HAWKE
What can I say ... Wow what a journey this book was and at the same time not what I was expecting.
Whilst the MCs are a part of the book this is very much the personal journey of two very scared and broken ppl who have to over come a hell of a lot of personal issues to be together.
I loved the book and I love the darker side this book has. In fact it's one of the things I love about this series as a whole because it's a darker side and a very different take on second chance mates.
I love Vera's writing style anyways and I am a big fan of her other series but this is on a whole different level, the vibe, the way that they are not a traditional pack. All rejected males from all walks of the supernatural, bear, wolf, dragon, witch, warlock.
This book centres on Delihlia and Hawke a wolf and a human. Hawke didn't believe she was his second chance mate.. they don't exist. She came across him by accident and took her to a place where she would be able to work, somewhere safe to sleep and food in her belly. For 2 years even though he refused that she was his mate he couldn't stay away. Always keeping her safe and protected ... He knew she was running from something but no idea what, she was a ray of sunshine and he just needed her around.... Until one day she's gone...
Absolutely loved their story the dark twists and turns and some surprising secrets of past lives get revealed. If you love 2nd chance mates but with a darker undertone I recommend u read this book.
We are introduced to Hawke and the Iron Fang MC in Grim. We also meet Delilah. I fell in love with both, in that book and waited impatiently to read this book. It was awesome and I can’t wait for the next, who is Bear, whom I also love. After two years of working at the bar that the Iron Fang hang at, Delilah is upset that Hawke has left her hanging. She decides to leave. Sadly, this leads to her past finding her. Thank goodness that Hawke finds her.
I have to say that this is one of the funniest books I’ve ever read. Delilah is absolutely hysterically funny and she yanks most of the Iron Fang members’ chains, especially Hawke’s. Omg. Soooo funny. I laughed so hard I cried twice, besides crying a few times over the tragedies that are Dede’s and Hawke’s pasts. Total emotional roller coaster ride for me.
So far only Grim & Beretta have found their 2nd chance mates- Journey and Tajah, respectively. Now it is Hawke’s turn, stubborn idiot that he is. I mean really?! But, I guess this is how the story turned out. IT just drove me a bit crazy while reading it. Lol
One of the other characters that I fell in love with was Anaki. He is a riot and I’m worried about him. I can’t wait to read Bear’s book. So many reveals in this book! Too much awesomeness….

Part of The Iron Fang series each can be read as a standalone yet a group of rejected shifters unloved, and wronged decided to stick together until their animal goes completely rabid, they will do as much good as possible. Hawke sexy as all get out tad bit crazy …okay a whole lot of crazy in both good/bad way but he knew his animal would soon take over but until then he would do what he could, Hawke was broken in so many ways but when he met a women who need his help in keeping her safe was she is second chance something he did believe in even though for two years he and has known Delilah was his second chance but refusing to believe caused him to push her away directly into the path of her past. Delilah was running from her past, not a good past either it comes for her by the time her friends find out will it be too late for Hawke to save her, will he brave enough to admit his feelings for her, will she trust him to take care of her, will she believe him and is there a chance at happiness for the two of them….. who’s next 😊?
(Grumpy sunshine, dark romance, motorcycle club romance, rejected mates, second chance, primal, scenting, nesting, knotting, "mine", fated mates, possessive and OTT MMC)
Grumpy rejected rogue shifter meets human sunshine girl. He flirts, kisses and pushes her away...constantly. Sweet girl has enough and leaves. He hunts her down and grovels. YES YES YES! SO FREAKING GOOD.
I suggest reading book one in this series, Iron Fang Grim, first because it sets up Delilah and Hawke's story. Honestly, book one made me so excited for this book and it did not disappoint.
This story had all the tropes I love and gave me all the feels while being dark and primal. Hello scenting, nesting and knotting!
Vera excels at writing a dark and delicious paranormal romance that will keep you on the edge of your seat! Also the spice! HOT.
Vera Foxx has once again outdone herself. This new series has quickly become my favorite by her. This is Hawke and Delilah's story. For 2 years, Delilah had loved Hawke but he was hot and cold with her, refusing to move past friendship. It took her leaving before he finally realized that he loved her and could make her happy. Delilah had been running from her past and Hawke didn't think that a "second chance mate" was possible, especially for him. I loved the character, Hawke was overprotective and serious but his wolf was more of a golden retriever. Despite Delilah had a sunshine personality, despite her difficult past. This series checks off so many boxes of what I love in books. I am really excited to read Bear's story next.
Hawke knows he loves Delilah and feels the immense pull he has to be close to her but he never commits to anything more than stealing kisses. Delilah the literal meaning of sunshine has been in love with Hawke for almost as long as she's been a part of the staff at the gangs bar. She's had enough of the games and unrequited love, if Hawke hasn't claimed her all this time why she should keep waiting. Delilah leaves the iron fang behind which leads to Hawke taking his head out of his butt and finally claiming her. This all leads to the next series of events. A past Delilah thought she escaped resurfaces and new characters are introduced, can Hawke and Delilah achieve their happily ever after?
I really wanted to like this book but it just didn't do it for me. I actually DNF'd at 65% but I really wanted to give up around 30%. I will say that there is decent grovelling in Hawke, better than most books that claim to have good grovel. I think that's what pushed me to the 65%. I respected the grovel and wanted to love the book. The book was just. So. Slow. OMG it was like watching paint dry. I'm not a fan of slow burns I admit that but Hawke was just painful. The spice wasn't good either and you'd think after waiting so long for SOMETHING to happen in the book it would be but it wasn't.
Safety Stuff: Celibate Hero Virgin Heroine No OW drama despite him being rejected by his mate. No OM drama No scenes or even discussion with the MCs with other people
I liked this one, but definitely not as much as Grim and Journey. I felt like this one was a bit repetitive. We were given so much prior information about both of them. It was brought up again in this book from their POVs, and to me, it felt recycled and like filler. Hawke...boyyyyy if you don't stick with what you want!!!! That man was so indecisive that it drove me crazy!!! I wish we would have gotten to see Delilah's shift. It was a huge plot point for her character, and it was breezed over. I still love the series and am very excited for Bear's book. Can't wait to get to know his character as well as his mates!
Hawke by Vera Foxx. The iron fang book 2. A club full of shifter rogues rejected and unloved. They were wronged for unjust reasons. Now their animals will soon go rabid, taking away their human selves. Their souls are broken, but with the little bit of life they have left, the rogues will save those who cannot save themselves. Giving humans a second chance. This is Hawke's story. I really did enjoy this book. I liked hawke and Delilahs story. I'm looking forward to the next book. 4*.
I liked this one but Hawke drove me UP THE WALL. The man had 2 years to get with Delilah and he constantly goes hot and cold and breaks her heart over and over. After she sees what his brothers have and that he'll never step up and be who she needs, she leaves them all behind to restart her life. That kicks his ass into gear to find her and get her back. She gets bond sickness (thanks to Hawke over here finally wanting to accept her as his mate) and spicy hijinks ensue.
I CAN'T wait to see Doc, Sizzle and Locke's stories 👀
I was all for it—the groveling was awesome, the s*x was hot and then bam! A woman was so stupid. I am all for a woman and her vengeful heart but to actually do idiotic things? For them to both leave their friend tied to a chair, dying, while they showered and flirted? For her to shower, flirt, untie her friend, and then remember the woman she so wanted to save and was going to martyr herself for an hour ago? Actually stupid and took this book from a 3 to a 2🌟 for me. Apologies for the spoilers but man, it pissed me off. Still on to read book 3 though!

Hawke and Delilah's story kept me glued to this shifter story from start to finish. When Delilah was saved and brought into the Iron Fang's family a bond between her, and Hawk developed but Delilah wanted more than what Hawke was offering causing her to leave. He realized she was nothing like his first relationship. Has Hawke waited too long to get his woman and will he and Delilah get their chance for happiness.

for 2 years Delilah had wanted Hawke, but he was cold and distant with her not believing in second chance mates, when shes finally had enough of waiting she leaves only her past catches up with her, with Hawke realise his mistake before its too late? well written engaging funny moments, desires and more, a great addition to the series.

Great book!! I love the obsession Hawke has for his 2nd chance at love. However, the story we learn in book 1 of the first human/shifter and to see it come full circle in this book was amazing!! I am so glad I found this author while trying to get out of a book slump and when I read book 1, I was on to book 2! Now on to book 3! Such great world building, but Vera created more than just a new world, she created characters that I can see and imagine. These books are free on amazon/kindle.
Squeeeeeee!!!!!! THE BOOK WE HAVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR (and by we I mean Me!). I have been so excited for Delilah to light a fire under Hawkes behind and this book did not disappoint!!
Hawke and his wolf had me cackling, and man oh man do I love when a man knows he did wrong and has to grovel...although I would have love for him to grovel more, I can always go for more groveling.
I devoured this book and this series has really re-sparked my love for shifter romance.
After Grim was finished, I NEEDED a book two more than I needed air! I needed to know what happened with Hawke since Grim left us on such a cliffhanger with him! The frienimies to lovers story and the drama that is Delilah's past will leave you on the edge of your seat! I absolutely can't wait to hear more about these characters and watch this series develop.
Oh my damn! This book was amazing. I love this series and I cannot wait to see what happens next with Bear. I enjoy that the series revolves around those who were shunned or pushed aside for something “better” The world shouldn’t be that way but it is. So it’s nice for the “little” guys to get their turn. Their chance at love.
I am so loving this serie!! Vera is amazing at making her books follow each member and going to the next generation, but you never get to miss the first characters because she keeps them around for the fun and the fights ❤️ I was holding my breath for Hawke and Delilah's story and let me tell you, it more than delivered!!
I love these two, but their story felt rushed for whatever reason. I would have loved to have known what her first successful shift was like as it happened but it just breezed over it and bam done, here’s the epilogue. I didn’t love it as much as Grim and Journey but I am still obsessed with this series. Can’t wait to read about Bear.
Big fan of this series so far! Each of the shifters have rich personalities but Hawke's drove me crazy!
Hawke has been hot and cold with Delilah for two years, until she finally has enough and decides to leave. This cause a chain of events that with either break or bind them.
Overall a solid read and can't wait to devour the rest of this series
Is the enforcer and a wolf. He's been panting after Dede a human waitress at the club. But now he thinks she's his second chance mate from goddess. Took a while to get into book but a good addition to series.
Such an amazing story!! The feelings, the characters and the backstories make this book so amazing !! Love Delilah and Hawker !! And so great to get a little more peeks of personalities at some of the other characters!! Another awesome series!!
There is a lot to this second book in the series. I hate all the things that our female main character had to go through to find her happy ending. The main male character was just as messed up as the other shifters. It’s an intriguing concept for a book but it’s rather long getting to the point.
I love the Iron Fangs and how vulnerable they seem with their second chances. I felt for Hawke and Delilah, but Delilah was tenacious. I can't wait to read each of their stories and the drama that comes with it. Its like scenes from a movie.
We love a good Grumpy "Touch her and you die" and Sunshine "Silly and loving" combo. Love how it connected with Book 1 and expanded more on the universe, characters, and lore. Spice was excellent, as usual. 🔥 Can't wait to read Bear!
Strong second book of the series. Love Hawke and Delilah and of course see all the other club members. More spice and action in this series. I want to know more about Bram and his story. I wish would have found out more about how Delilah got her wolf so young and about Sean and his change.
I was hooked from book number 1, I love MC genre and also shifters so it was amazing. Great characters and storyline. The author did a great job with the writing and the characters. I'm looking forward to the next book.💖💖💖
