If someone can make a movie out of a short story, this is your blockbuster. Reilly has talent. To keep you gasping for breath in just 20 odd pages the way he does, is true genius!

This is a short story available for free download from Matthew Reilly's website. It follows the usual Reilly formula of breathless, suspension of disbelief action, compressed into short form. Engineering a situation where our heroes must get across New York against the clock and without going below a certain altitude, Reilly uses every trick he can think of to get the reader's adrenaline pumping as they leap from rooftop to rooftop. And he knows a lot of tricks.

This is certainly not going to win

I should have known where it was going but didn't! Obvious in hindsight. Completely unbelievable, suspend disbelief, typical act ion packed, page turning Matthew Reilly. How he manages it in short story form is amazing. Loved it!

Matthew Reilly does action stories very well, amped up to 10 (and sometimes beyond) and this 20-odd page story is no exception. The historical document at the centre of this story may very well be part of the authors (rather) vivid imagination...but then, maybe not...

Another of Reilly's free short stories this is the tale of two thieves on a high-speed chase through New York where the thieves can't touch the ground (no it's not lava).

Non-stop action from start to finish this isn't bad for a quick read.

- Killer and intense short. I hope Mr. Reilly writes more of these.

Another adrenalin fuelled story. Non stop pace, with two Australian SAS soldiers competing afainst three navy seal teams. Good read. If you have a spare 15 minutes read it and enjoy.
