She and her baby were chased into the forest by the beasts. As she ran, she came to a house and quickly hid the baby in the woodpile, grabbed a rock and wrapped it in the blanket, and ran. When the beasts caught her, they killed her thinking the baby was wrapped in the blanket. When they unwrapped it, they found the rock, but decided to tell the master the baby was dead.

When the couple who lived in the house found the baby in the woodpile, they kept her and named her Amborese. After

When I read the description for this book I was immediately interested. However, I was not at all prepared for the awesomeness McNulty presents to us in Legends Lost. Her storytelling rivals that of Christopher Paolini and J.K. Rowling.

The story is about a girl, Amborese, who discovers that there is more to her life than being a peasants daughter and has a destiny to fulfill. It is a very intriguing and action packed book. It is told in a way that you, as a reader, are always aware of the happenings in Tesnayr. Mc

"Legends Lost Tesnayr " was one of the most exciting fantasy books I have read. Nova Rose out did herself by bring such life into her characters. It takes talent to get a reader so engrossed in the book that they can envision each character.

I loved the characters in this book, you have dragons, monsters, orcs, kings, talking unicorns and the wizard.

I loved the wizard, who had a slight drinking problem. I really loved when Arnin and Tesnayr threw the wizard into the water, it was lik

I always expect a lot from fantasy/adventure books since I am a huge fan and reader of the genre. Legends Lost: Amborose felt short of meeting my expectations. There were some things that could be much more better, writing style that could be improved, and some things that could be edited out. However, there are definitely some things to salvage from the novel. Let me start with it.

I don't read a lot of books about talking cats, or anything that has to do with any type of animal bein

I have mixed feelings about this book. I thought McNulty and Rose did a great job with the character development. I was able to watch Amborese develop from a scared child to a woman with inner strength. I loved the “gang” of characters from Scypher (the bad boy with a good heart) , Zolo a powerful wizard who has known Amborese her entire life and became a father figure to her over the course of the year they traveled together, Kylanisha a fairy who joined the group and protected them as best she ...more

Legends Lost Amborese was a stirring fantasy adventure with all the staples that a reader would expect in any good fantasy. There are the dwarves, the elves, the men, the various fantasy creatures, sorcerous types, wise old magicians and talking cats. There's the tyrannous power-abuser and the lands that cannot reunite on their own merit. And then there's magical relics, prophecies, a band of heroic types and the quester they must protect.

When I signed up to review this book I was th

Written in 3 books, although I don’t feel that was necessary, the story flows nicely with appropriately named chapters, making it easy to follow.

Long ago, in a place called Tesnayr, lived Queen Rosina, who was saddened to learn the man she trusted, Clymorus, after her husband was killed, had let her kingdom fall into despair. Tesnaryr was actually a region consisting of 5 lands, Belyndril, Murdair, Belarnia, Hemil and Sym’Dul, each with their own races, elves, dwarves, fairies, etc.<

I chose this book because I was hoping for a traditional epic fantasy book. It was a good story but fell short of what I was anticipating. Yes, it waas the typical good versus evil with an interesting and very diverse cast of characters,(dragons being my favorite) but I had a hard time truly connecting with or feeling for any of them. Although we got to see Amborese grow into a strong woman as she chose to accept her fate and do what was needed of her she lacked depth. It continually felt like t ...more

Legends Lost: Amborese is one of those books that from the beginning, I had to sit down and make a list of the characters as I came across them to keep them all in order as I was reading. Some of the names were a little out there but I think it was very creative. When you have a story where a peasant girl is the heir to a throne that has been empty for 300 years, it can be hard to keep the story intriguing because it's not something you normally see happen. I loved reading through the story and ...more

I want to own this book! First of all I liked all the good characters. Hated Clymorus and Murnok along with all their army of evil. Although I was expecting two big weddings in the end but kind of made me sad when I read the epilogue part. I liked the book anyways. It was fun to read sad and funny when bali and Sposa would get into arguments and also bali's love for food would always get him in trouble. I am happy I got the chance to read this book, it is a great read.
