He screwed up before and now wants her to give him another chance. Plus the man is purposely making himself handicapped. Knowing someone who is handicapped by no fault of their own, it's heartbreaking to read about someone consciously making that choice. No sympathy.

This was a nice little read. Good to snuggle up with when you have nothing more to do.

Characters were a little too wounded for my taste.
