In these ten tales, Erik Tomblin examines the darker landscapes in our lives which we know exist, but refuse to explore for fear of the truth. From the classic question of a soul’s existence to an inter-dimensional, tragic love story, blindspot portrays the unexpected consequences of those who dare acknowledge these frightening regions of mind, space and time.
Though Tomblin enjoyed writing stories at an early age, he spent a good deal of the 90s earning a B.A in Psychology and a Master's in Information Technology. His creative outlet came in the form of penning song lyrics instead of prose. After finally having a bit of life under his belt, he turned his attention back to fiction, writing several short stories that can be found both online and in print. The release of his novella, Riverside Blues, by award-winning publisher Earthling Publications was met with glowing reviews. While he also enjoys photography, reading, and playing guitar, he gets the most joy from being a husband and father.
I love Erik's writing; the twist in each story reminds me of an Alfred Hitchcock.
This is a collection of short stories Erik Tomblin wrote years ago before his novella 'Riverside Blues'. I was trying to wait and read this when my husband leaves for school but I couldn't do it. One night I thought I would just crack it and maybe read the first story and before I knew it I had finished.
The rich descriptive effort of Riverside Blues attests to Erik's increasing skill as a writer and makes me look forward that much more to his upcoming book!
