Recommends it for: fans of thrillers, action/adventure, kick-ass heroine

Please Note: I read and reviewed this book in September 2011. I think the author gave me a copy for review, but I can't remember for sure. At any rate, all opinions are my own.

About the Book: In book 3 of the Leah Ryan Mysteries, three years has past since “Finding Chloe.” Leah and Jack have formed a PI company, and Leah has let Callahan move in with her. She and Jack have apparently dealt with some pretty nasty cases in the interim and they have just started back to work after taking a 6-month hiatus so they could“Finding/>About

This one was a bit convoluted and the amount of time she spent wounded was impressive. A good end to the series. I really don't need to read number 4.

First, even though this is 3rd in a series, you totally can pick up this book as a stand-alone. I did. You don't need to read the others to take a seat on this fun train.

Second, I love this sassy, cussing, slightly damaged main character, Leah. She's not perfect, has faults, and does things she knows she's not supposed to. But what's redeeming is that she knows she's slightly damaged and does things she's not supposed to and tries to fix herself.

Her best friend and busine

Okay so...what happened? Did like ten years pass and nothing but an aside to note it? What happened to Jack's motorcycle shop? When did Leah and Jack decide to become private investigators and work together. I almost feel like the author wasn't happy with the established character arc and tried to reboot the series.

As for the plot, I had the distinct feeling that it was written backwards. The ending felt middleish and the early conflict felt like it would have worked much better as a

A promotional gift I down loaded a while back and I did not read the first two books in the series.
A believable story that kept you glued to the pages, turning it again and again to learn the outcome of this suspense filled plot.
Leah's cynical views to the world in general was daunting at times but with a past like hers it was understandable. Her handling it not always the best way and it brought on more questions then answers to her searching for closure. The yo yo relationship betw

A wonderfully exciting page-turner of a book; the action is real good old boys-own stuff, bound to appeal to anyone who enjoys Stevenson and John Buchan. Depth is added with a deeply flawed heroine. A thoroughly enjoyable read, which I could hardly put down, and I would have given it four stars were it not for the fact that the work is sadly marred by the lack of proof-reading.

Ms Sharp is an extremely talented emergent writer, and it made me very sad to see that she didn't take the t

Tracy Sharp grew up in a small mining town in Northern Ontario, Canada, where there wasn't much for her to do except dress warmly and write spooky stories to scare herself silly.

Tracy now lives in Upstate NY with her family.
