(less)

I remember that I loved this book. It was even one of the first books that brought me to tears. What I do remember was that the main character was annoying and her excuses had no fundament. However life and fate hit her against a brick wall and eventually she learned that the world is not full of rainbows. I would like to re read it again in the future to see if my opinion still stands.

I never liked to read, I never thought of opening this book. My older sister loves to read basically we have a library in the house of all the books that she read. She always recommends me this book, I saw how she cried, how she laughed and then how she read it again because she said it was incredible. It happened years until one day I saw it and decided I was going to read it, for some reason it called me a lot of attention, I started to read it and I wasn’t disappointed of nothing, the book wa ...more

It´s not a bad book but I spected more of it. I don´t have a bad memory of it, I read it with sixteen, but I don´t remember to love it. When I was a child, some books of Laura Gallego were in my list of favorite books but there are others of this writter I don´t really like (Memorias de Idhún, Crónicas de la torre...).

I love the change that the main character did throw the whole story. She is not the tipical perfect character that always does the correct things in the correct momentas and that is what makes Viana so human.

This book left me speechless.. i don't think i'll be able to find the right words to describe this book.
It is beautiful and made me really emotional.. sometimes angry or excited, exasperated because the main character did something incredibly stupid again, hopeful that everything would turn out well in the end, sad because of the story and finally because i finished the book. The main character Viana was sometimes very annoying but i like how the author allowed her to mature with the progress of

I give this book 4 stars because i can't give 3 and a half. I'm not saying it's bad, tho. I actually enjoyed and the story was fascinating and full of action.
I fell in love with two male characters in particular (whose names i won't say) . Well, one is old so is not love but i like him a lot almost as if i loved him.
The younger one was different. I loved his innocence and his smile and his strange hair.
The plot twist at the end hit me like a punch in the face and I felt so dumb of not figuring

The exact moment I finished the book there was one idea that crossed my mind...
This could potencially be a Disney movie! Maybe you are thinking that this is then a childish book. Far from reallity. I can compare it to any of the nowadays disney movie... (Tangled, Frozen, etc) Movies that can be seen in a different way if you are child or adult. One story, a lot of possible interpretations. Highly moving book with a great backstory going on.

If you have the oportunity to get a copy of the book and

THIS. IS. ONE. OF. THE. BEST. BOOKS. I'VE. EVER. READ. I defenerly love this book. The stort it's just so unique and magical. I wasn't expecting that ending. AT ALL. If you are looking for a fantasy book with kingdoms, princesses, princes, kings, and queens that isn't that typical love story with the girl in trouble and the charming prince to the rescue, this is the book you are looking for because it shows us the potencial, strenght, and bravery that ANY girl can have, even the one who has grow ...more

This book starts slowly at the begining, and at some point it gets boring but when you get to the middle the hole story turns into something more...
At first i stop reading it but then one day i decide to finish it and suddenly i could't let it go it turns out that at the end everything goes into their place and some other things came into the light it is really interesting and it takes you to another world.
Read it if you are looking for something that surprised you and leaves you wanting more

Fantastic!!! I read this book four months ago, but I still remember the best moments... Well all moments were fantastic, so in other words, after 4 mount I still remember the action. The idea was excellent, really orginal. Feelings between Viana and Uri are great, Laura Gallego write the book wit fuul of emotion, so we can feel all kind of feelings. Have no words to describe the awesomeness of this book. Well-constructed characters, you can't help falling in love with them, the story hooks you from the beginning to the end, the writing style is so beautiful and simple, the description of the forest was magical. AND THAT ENDING... Thanks for playing with my feelings like a chess game once again, Laura. A sweet, heartbreaking, yet ultimately satisfying conclusion. I'm still mad at you Laura, I want you to understand that you hurt me, in so ma ...more

The worst book I've read from Laura Gallego. The plot is absolutely predictable. Everything occurs too fast. Characters personality belong to the last century. Viana is not a "heroine", her evolution was, is and she died being helpful with men. There aren't women stories. Laura hasn't worked on her characters. And the end is really terrible.

On the bad side, I think this books was too simplistic and the author could have done better with the same story. But on the other hand it was sweet, romantic, thrilling... nothing new to the fantasy genre, but still a good and entertaining book for teenagers (especially girls).

Not bad, but is not one of Laura Gallego's best. It is too centered in the girl (which is stupid) and does not say much about the other characters.
The feeling you get when you close it is: "aha. So what?"
