Generally I am a bit hesitant to read biographies of celebrities, for fear that the person I admired and enjoyed on TV, stage, or screen turns out to be someone who beats up senior citizens, kicks cats, and hates all holidays. Thankfully, this biography revealed Fess Parker to be a genuinely nice guy, kind to the people he met in all walks of life, a wonderful family man, and first-rate businessman.
