The opening of this book introduces us to Bexli and her plight. She's a captive of the human trafficker known as Mithras. She was planning her escape and she'd only get one chance at it.
In the UK, Winston 'Cayman' Trace is about to greet the French ambassador to the UN and leader of the UN's Coalition Against Human Trafficking along with his boss Z Alexander. There are a couple of promotions coming down one of which is Margeaux “Nemesis” Jordan being named the head of the UN Coalition, and Cayman her replacement as Commanding Officer of the UK Task Force. As he reflects on this promotion, he wants to share it with someone he considers the most important person in his life, Bexli. They've been friends since he was eight years old and he's shared all his accomplishments with her. Unfortunately, calling her would have to wait as there is more business to take care of.
Once he is able to call, it goes to voice mail, and he pulls up the last photo she sent him, one of the mysterious Lorenzo Moretti. He's wondering if she's in a relationship with him since he's the one who offered her this chance to model in Milan, where she's been since September. It's then he notices it's been six weeks since he's heard from her. No other replies to his texts or messages. He texts her a brief message he has news and for her to call him before he gets called away.
Nemesis received a brief from Marchand and it has pertinent information. With everyone gathered, Cayman lowers a viewing screen as Nem hooks up her laptop, the screen fills with a photo of Mithras. Cayman couldn't breathe, he started sweating and couldn't say a word as Poseiden gripped his shoulders. He swiped at his phone and handed it to Poseiden, it was him. Lorenzo Moretti is Mithras.
With the return of his phone he runs outside, the panic he feels is overwhelming thought. He knows now that Mithras has Bexli and he can't think straight.
Ares, Poseiden and Nemesis are all trying to calm him. The brief from Oleander suggests an auction on the dark web, and Zeppelin and Magnet are checking the site for Bexli, then they can plan. With Bexli's image found they are waiting for Wren and Wilder to trace the IP address when an update hits with the notification the auction will open in 24 hours. The clock is ticking.
With the location found, they successfully take it down, rescuing the women they found there. The problem is Bexli wasn't there. She had managed to somehow escape and they have to find her. They do manage to track her movements and enter a restaurant to have drinks where they believe she is. They find her safe with the family of the owners and take her to their command compound, before returning to the UK.
All this is just the beginning as they still need to take down Mithras, but he is only one of the big players.
There's also Bexli and the way she feels unworthy of Cayman's affections. Her family and background embarrass her although it doesn't matter to Cayman or his parents. This leads to some interesting accomplishments on Bexli's part as well as ups and downs in her relationship with Cayman.
There is plenty of intrigue and action in this one as we follow the steps in this investigation.
I really can't wait to see what's next in this series.

When the job becomes a personal mission...
Cayman has just been promoted to the commander of the UK anti-trafficking task force, and the only person he wants to share it with is his best friend since childhood, Bexli. The problem is, she's missing - and it turns out she's been taken by the leader of the human trafficking ring that Cayman's team has been tracking.
Cayman leaves no stone unturned in his quest to save Bexli, but that's only the beginning for them. Not only has Bex never accepted Cayman's overtures to take their friendship to a romantic level, she also needs to figure out what to do with her life now that her modeling career is over and how to handle the very complex details of Cayman's risky career.
There's a lot of moving parts in this story: multiple kidnappings, rescues, near-death experiences, shootouts, and more. All of that gets our task force that much closer to closing down the Egyptian-based trafficking operation, and gets Cayman and Bexli closer to realizing just what they mean to each other.
I loved the way the romance blossomed throughout the investigation and how every source of intel was used to follow even the smallest lead. I loved how Bexli was empowered by the entire experience, and was inspired by her choice of career going forward. I fell in love with both Cayman and Bexli right away and was rooting for them from the start.
This author truly is the queen of action/suspense romances, and this is one of her very best. The level of detail makes the story instantly relatable and captivating, and it's clear that the author has done a tremendous amount of research. As in the previous book, the multiple locations kept me referring to my maps to follow the action from continent to continent. Human trafficking is a difficult subject to consider, and I really appreciate the way this author respects the victims without shying away from showing the depths of depravity behind the criminals' behavior.
I love the HEA for Cayman and Bexli, and how the story was wrapped up for those involved in this case yet still left open for more adventures as the task force continues their work to eradicate human trafficking around the world. Fantastic book, highly recommended for anyone who loves romantic suspense. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Cayman always the calm, strong silent agent. Until the love of his life is taken.
The latest installment in the K19 world. Code Name: Cayman continues the search for the head of the sex trafficking ring they are tracking. Cayman and the task force have been slowly breaking down the ring and getting closer and closer to the leader. When Cayman finds out he has been promoted the only person he wants to tell is Bexli. His girlhood friend. The love of his life. Then he realizes she is missing and in the hands of the very monster they are trying to catch.
Bexli has known Cayman since she was a little girl. He has been her best friend and White Knight ever since. She knew he loved her but kept him away from fear of losing the only person in the world that meant anything. Since she was taken and knew her time was running out, she needed her white knight one more time. Only now would she be able to see him again. Could she conquer her fear and take a chance and admit to loving him.
This action-packed installment takes you all over in their quest to track down Mithras. The highs of saving captives to the loss of fellow agents. Betrayal of trust and finding the truth of who you are in the best and worst circumstances. Cayman and Bex grab at your heart from the very beginning with their seamless connection and the human angst we all carry. This couple will be one of my favorites for a long time to come.

This was a seat of your pants book. Heather has taken us on a ride where we continue to see how the K19 Allied Intelligence-Team One continues to try to eradicate the human trafficking that was introduced in earlier books. We meet Bexli in a every unusual way and soon discover that our hero Cayman knew Bexli as a child. Cayman has been given the property in Shere by his parents. This property is now a Command Center. Cayman is now the part of the UK Task Force which is part of the UN Coalition Against Human Trafficking. Cayman aspires to become Chief of MI6. He soon learns that he will become the UK Task Force CO. Unknown by Cayman his childhood friend Bexli has been captured by a human trafficker. As we learn it doesn’t take much for a young girl to be lured into what she thinks will be career in modeling but instead into a sinister world. The attention to detail Heather provides us gives us a story that will have you reading until daybreak. You are mesmerized into this world and are praying that all make it out a live and see and feel the toil when they loose Coalition members in the rescue of not only Bexli but others who were trafficked. I received an ARC copy of this book for my honest review.

This story is about Cayman and Bexli. Cayman has loved Bexli since they were children. They come from completely different worlds; his world is royalty and hers childhood was tough having a drunk for a father and brother and a mother who can't stand up for herself.
Still Cayman and Bexli are the best of friends and always keep each other posted when they have great news to share. Cayman has been promoted within the organization and the first thing he wants to do is call Bex. His calls go unanswered and then his team is tasked with taking down another human trafficker: Mithras. He takes one look at the picture and realizes that Mithras and Moretti are one and the same and that is who Bexli is with.
His world collapses and the only thing he wants is to get to Bexli immediately. His team works to get something in place and it takes them to get him to back off and go with the team to rescue Bexli
This book has lots of twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat.
I totally recommend this book and can't wait for the next in the series to find out who Pharoah is and are there more at the top of the human trafficking schemes and how the team takes them all down.

This is the second book in the K19 Allied Intelligence series. The first book which one doesn't need to read to understand this one, built this team comprising of MI6, K19 and a few other entities. Cayman was a task force member in that book. In this book he is promoted to a leader. When he should be celebrating he figures out the man they are after is the same person that took his friend Bexli under his wing to make her a model. Since this team specializes in human trafficking, it's not a spoiler to say that Bexli is in the wrong hands, and Cayman will do what-ever it takes to get her back. Oh the emotions that the reader feels as he compares the photo of the man they are after to the one Bexli sent him.
This book was awesome, a roller coaster ride of emotions because both parties have a lot of baggage to work through. Bexli's only friend in life has been Cayman, and he's been in love with her for years. She didn't want to lose that friendship. Cayman is torn between his job and being at Bexli's side as she recovers from her trauma. I lost count of the number of times he considered resigning during this book. Z called him out on a time or two, even though he'd never voiced that statement.

This book is part of a series. Cayman is part of a task force to stop human trafficking. This book picks up with Cayman being promoted and the one person he really wants to share his news with is Blexi. Blexi has been his best friend since childhood. Although he would love to be more then friends she has him firmly as her best friend only. Cayman phones Blexi and when his call goes to voicemail he realizes it's been a bit since he's actually spoke with her. Blexi is off following her dream of being a model. When Cayman is briefed about a human trafficker he recognizes a man he's seen in photos. Blexis's photos. Caymans heart sinks and a rescue mission is immediately begun as the realization that Blexi is in real danger is realized. Cayman has 1 objective, and that is to rescue Blexi any way possible, even if it means ending his career. Will he find her in time and will Blexi ever see Cayman as more then her best friend? His kiss sure has her thinking about more then friends.

Cayman starts off with a bang as we’re introduced to Bexli, his long time childhood friend, who is trapped by Mithras. As soon as Cayman finds out, he races to her rescue, but do not underestimate Bexli. She proves time and time again that she can save herself, and she won’t back down from the fight. Heather Slade finds a way to give strong, independent heroines who balance perfectly with alpha-dominate men. I loved Bexli’s strength and her character arc. Oh, Cayman is so full of passion and you and you can feel his trepidation and fear as he wrestles between his feelings for Bexli and his duties to the crown. By the end of the book, you will find yourself questioning every suspect right along with the team. Who is the elusive pharaoh?! I can’t wait to see how the storyline and mystery moves forward.

Cayman is shocked to find the man know as Mithras the human trafficker is Lorenzo Moretti the man that his best friend Bexli is with . Bexli Everdeen thought she getting a chance at modeling she never dreamed she would be taken as a sex slave . Cayman and the task force head to Gozo where Bexli and other women are being held to be auctioned off as sex slaves . Cayman has loved Bexli for most of his life and will do whatever it takes to get her back safe in his arms . This story is sensational full of suspense and intrigue .
A wonderful collection of unique characters , and an action packed story . I highly recommend taking the time to read.

Heading up the UK task force as part of the UN Coalition Against Human Trafficking is a task that Winston "Cayman" Trace is certainly more than capable of handling. But when it suddenly becomes personal it takes every bit of his resolve, dedication and training to keep him from going rogue. Thankfully his friends, teammate superiors have his back. Bexli Everdeen has been Cayman's best friend since childhood. He loves her unreservedly despite her keeping him firmly in the friend zone. Now she's in serious trouble, she needs Cayman but knows she must take every advantage she can get to save herself. Operaion Bexli s suspenseful, dramatic and dangerous. The mysterious Mithras is definitely involved and the team gets closer to identifying Pharoah. Bexli finally admits her feelings for Cayman and resolves to become a woman that both she and he can be proud of.

Heather is one of my favourite authors and a swear that with each book she gets better and better which isn't always the case with authors This latest offering is a fast and furious race against time that totally draws you in and keeps you engaged until you turn that last page.
The team are still searching for the head of the human trafficking ring they have following for quite awhile and slowly they are whittling their way towards the head of the group It becomes far more personal for Cayman when he realises they have taken his childhood friend and the only woman he has ever loved. Bexli has always wanted Cayman but was afraid to take what she wanted but now she needs her hero to rescue her. Can he get to her in time Can they have a future You will have to read to see.

Exciting K19 Romantic Suspense!!
Cayman and his team are fighting traffickers and Cayman has something to share with his best friend Bexli. Bexli has a great modeling opportunity, but hasn’t answered his texts lately. Through a series of events, it becomes apparent that Bexli is in the hands of traffickers. The game is afoot.

Heather Slade just keeps getting better with each book. As proof, look at her most recent book, Cayman.
Cayman has loved Bexli for years. When he discovers that Bexli has been kidnapped, there is no hole big enough to hide the traffickers from his wrath.
With her trademark edge-of-your-seat suspense, the author spins an excellent story with fabulous characters. Heather Slade's writing skills take her readers through an intricate, twisted plot in the world of human trafficking. Cayman is the epitome of a truly great romantic suspense. There are steamy open door bedroom scenes that enhance the story, yet do not overshadow the suspenseful nature.
I always look forward to reading this author because I know she will deliver a 5-star novel.

The heart knows
Cayman and Belxi. Friends since children with stronger feelings that Belxi won’t acknowledge until she finds herself and trouble and Cayman comes to the rescue. Belxi has had a rough upbringing but I loved her fight to improve her self worth and how the strong women from other books take her under their mentorship to do so. The leadership and different groups were still slightly confusing as they also all work together, but the scope does make sense to need it. The danger was multi faceted and the emotion intense. I enjoyed the ending and look forward to reading more about quite a few of these characters, looking at Oleander, Poseidon, Magnet, Puck, Demiro and more!

Code Name Cayman continues the story of the international coalition against human trafficking with a fast-paced read full of danger and intrigue. But it is also the story of how hard it is even for a highly trained professional like Cayman to keep personal feelings in check and focus on the mission. Good thing he is surrounded by friends! The suspense plot definitely takes center stage with the change from best friends to lovers for Cayman and Bexli happening very quickly, but not without presenting new challenges. There's a HFN for the couple, but the fight will continue!

Absolutely loved this book. Definitely a must read book but make sure to read the series to fully understand the characters and plot. To see the love Cayman has for Bexli and to read how much he is willing to throw away to save her life and support her is astounding. I loved reading about the inner strength that Bexli finds within herself with a little push from some equally strong woman. This book has another critical piece to finding the head of the human trafficking ring that all agencies are trying to bring down. Riveting, suspenseful and action packed book.

Cayman hooks the reader from page one. The intrigue, suspense, and romance keeps the reader's attention throughout this page-turner. Bexli plans her escape from human traffickers. Cayman finds her after having trouble deciding between love and duty to the crown. The characters are strong and intelligent. They show character growth throughout the book. This story-line isn't complete. Some unknown traffickers need to be caught. Bexli and Cayman got their HEA. I received a copy, and I'm voluntarily giving my honest review.

Winston “Cayman” Trace is the new commander of the UK Task Force on Human Trafficking. He is known for being hard as nails. The new target is someone he has seen a picture of before, Lorenzo Moretti, he last saw a picture of him from Brexli. He has been in love with his best friend for some time, and now he knows who has her, he come undone. She is about to be put up on an auction, there is nothing he will not do to get back.
This is a must read, this pair are perfect for each other and cannot wait for the next in the series.

Loved this book. We get to see Bexli who is his childhood friend and the story is back with human trafficking but the UK task force. Cayman who is the head of task force sees his friend kidnapped and moves mountains to rescue her, but Bexli is a strong character as well. I’m not one to give away the story so I don’t want to give away any details but it is really fast paced and an engaging read. We see old characters but it is a standalone book. Lots of suspense and emotion. I really love how the story is told and seeing other characters in the story has to be my favorites.

I've thoroughly enjoyed every Heather Slade book I've read and this is no exception.
While the story may take place over only a matter of a few weeks at most, the love between Bexli and Cayman has been brewing for decades. They've been "friends" since they were children, never fully ready to admit or acknowledge their feelings until Bexli finds herself in danger and Cayman is the only one who can save her.
Another well written story with some characters we've met before (always nice to "catch up") and some new ones who I'm sure we'll be hearing more about eventually.

Wow! This story is intense right from the beginning. This story is about Cayman and Bexli. These two are childhood friends but Cayman has been in love with Bexli right from he met her. It's was so intense from the beginning to get to their happy ending. This book continues with the intimate group of agents. Cayman was friends with a few before they became colleagues. To say their jobs are intense is definitely an understatement. FANTASTIC job Heather! I would recommend this book!

What a great read! Cay has known and loved Bex for most of his life. When he finds out the same sex trafficker he’s after has taken her the game is on. He will stop at nothing to get her safe return. Their story is a fast paced, page turning read. To find out how everything works out in the end. It’s great to catch up with some of your favourite characters from Heather’s other books in this series!

Wow! Cayman, the new head of the UK Task Force on human trafficking finds out that his best friend Bexli has been kidnapped by a notorious trafficker. A roller coaster of a ride with this story with the relationship between Bexli and Cayman and the UN task force trying to identify and catch the traffickers. So many new characters, but also we run into some old favorites! Bexli and Cayman are a wonderful couple! Great read!

"Code Name: Cayman" (K19 Allied Intelligence Team One Book 2) by Heather Slade was a great read. I enjoyed Cayman and Bexli's story. This story had romance, action, suspense, friends to lovers, entertaining characters, and more. This was a fantastic addition to this series. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next with all of these characters. Highly recommend it to all fans of romance, action, and series.

I always find Ms. Slade's books, smooth, but intense at the same time. The complexity of the plot and the overall storyline is amazing. She takes you on a journey with loads of characters that you just can't help but love. She also keeps it real, not all is hunky dory in the story. Brexli grew quite a bit in this chapter and Cayman was there to support her every step of the way. Loved Nonna!

This is the 2nd book in the K19 Allied Intelligence Team One by Heather Slade and this is Cayman and Bexli story! He has loved her for years, but now he has discovered she has been kidnapped! He is beside himself, now sit back and see just how Heather weaves her story! There is there is suspense, twist and turns and an insight in the revolting world of human trafficking. This book is totally worth reading!
