We’re back with the magical trio of Shayna the Earth elemental, Jodi, the Air elemental, and Steven, the Fire elemental. All three have powers, all three have magical powers that they use to defeat other beings. And in this case, that person is Jeremy, the goth loner boy who is bullied by his older brother at a poetry reading. When the trio witness thousand

This is an excellent YA because it's all action, no romance. Best of all, the MC isn't the least bit stupid.
I really like the elemental series. I think my favorite thing about this series is that each book has a completely different story. I wasn't too sure where this book was going to go. I thought it would focus more on Jensen, but a totally different story emerged. It deal with the fae, which are fascinating creatures! I have read a few books on the fae but I really loved Shauna's take on them. She included many different varieties and I really got to see the nuances within the species.

And what is

I was a bit disappointed with Air.

I saw Air and, since it's Jodie's element, I was hoping the book would focus more on Jodi and let her be in the spotlight, without Shayna. Maybe even let her be the narrator as she explores these changes happening to her. That doesn't happen. I mean, Shayna does sort of tells us: "Oh, Jodi's magic is stronger now." But it's just not the same even with those cool extra abilities Shayna has.

Shayna hasn't changed, at all.

Air takes place several months after the ending of Earth, right before school ends for the Summer holidays. The story centres around a classmate of Shayna’s called Jeremy, who, after being publicly humiliated attracts the attentions of Shay and Jodi. It seems that wherever he goes, a buzzing noise, like the fluttering of wings seem to follow. Shay, Jodi and Steven take it upon themselves to uncover the mystery behind these faerie-like things and save Jeremy before it’s too late.

One of the thing
A great follow up to Earth, the first book in this series. This series is definitely a YA one, but I do really enjoy it. The only reason this book doesn't get 5 stars is because there's not enough blood and guts in it, but I don't think blood and guts would work well in this series either, but it's just not gory enough for me.

Shayna, an Earth witch, Jodi, an Air witch and Steven, a fire witch form a fab trio who both together and individually have a great amount power, which for their young ages

After a run-in with a demon last year, Shayna and her two best friends are excited to get ready for a relaxing rest of the year. Shayna's main goal is to learn to control her powers over the element of earth. Of course, things are never that easy. Shayna, Jodi, and Steven see someone they know get humiliated by him own brother in front of an open mic crowd. Things get very strange after that though as they discover that this boy has a group of fairy-like creatures working for him. These "fairies ...more

My english review

I was quite curious to find our four heros and to discover what had happened to them since the end with Ian in the first book. So it's with a real pleasure that we can see Jodi, Shayna and Steven who will live a new adventure. And of course they're helped by Jensen but it's still difficult for him to really accept this new world where he evolves now.

The author's writing style is more accomplished in this second volume, we can also feel it with the story whic

Picking up as few months after Earth ended, we find our little coven in the throws of yet another mystery to be solved and person to be saved. While it all sounds so Scooby Doo-ish, it's anything but. These are not your ordinary meddling kids with powers; Shay, Jodi, and Steven are trying relentlessly to deal with their growing powers, tumultuous relationships, and the burden of knowing that life as they know it will never be normal. It's all to easy in the YA world for the protagonists to seemi ...more

Air by Shauna Granger is the second book in her Elemental series. First off I really enjoy how she is doing the series. It's not the first time I have seen a series named like this, but what Shauna is doing inside the books really sets her apart.

The same crew from Earth is back with the addition of Jensen as a love interest for Shayna. It's also great to see Steven back as himself confident and comfortable in who he is. This time the group finds themselves trying to help out a young man who is

Book two in the Elemental series opens a week before summer break. Shayna, Jodi and Steven are still learning to harness and control their magical abilities after dealing with a demon in book one. Shay especially, as she was left with more power than before. The Elementals go out on a group date and witness the humiliation of a fellow classmate, and then feel the presence of magical beings around him. The story moves swiftly from there and you find yourself immersed. Shay is a smart, strong and ...more

What a great story. Friendship and Magic with a little romance thrown in.
Shayna, Jodi and Steven are learning to use their elemental powers. Shayna (Terra) Earth mother, Jodi (Fae) air power and Steven (Drake) fire power. Fairy creatures are part of this story! Both good and bad fairies. The story centers around Jeremy, a disturbed boy who is attached to 'faeries'. They create all kinds of problems with an already volatile character.
The characters in this book are strong and loyal.

The coven of three is back together facing a new threat. A troubled young man starts to create havoc with an unfamiliar "fairy". It is up to Shayna, Steven, and Jodi to work together and help him work through or conquer the problems that got him in the mess he is in. Those are the plans, but plans don't always work the way you want them to.

I love stories using elemental powers, fairy creatures, and strong characters. This book definitely has those characteristics.

This is a great fantasy book. I

Great book, loved to see the characters some more, and we got to learn a lot more about a lot of them Though the guy keeps disappearing, and there's no mention of him doing so, even though they were looking for him. It was rather strange. But great book!

Book Review- Air by Shauna Granger

Shayla, Steve and Jodi are recovering from the battle with Ian. Shay is learning more about her powers from Deb. She is also sort of dating Jensen. On one of those nights she is hanging out with Jensen and her friends, she notices a classmate Jeremy on the stage. When he gets upset she feels a surge of energy and hears faerie wings. She and Jodi try to follow him but he gets away.
They see him again in the bookstore. He becomes angry and Shay tries to step into c

This second book is notably better than the first. I think Shauna Granger really honed her talent between books. It still has the exploration of magic abilities while keeping that grounding tether to the relatable realities of being a teen.

Evil Faeries are the creatures causing major disruption in this instalment of the Elemental series, nothing like an evil fairie to try to contend with. This of course, is easier said than done, as our crew of three elementals, plus Jensen, who pops up every now and then to lend a hand, find out.

Air’s story centres around Jeremy a classmate of Shay’s. He has always been this odd guy at school , being picked on, especially by his brother Jimm

The trio and their dates decide to go out for a fun night. They go to a coffee shop where Jeremy gets up to read some poetry. His brother starts making fun of him, and Jeremy gets really mad. All of a sudden, Shayna and Jodi hear faerie wings . Lots and lots of faerie wings. At least they guess that they are faeries. They chase him down the street, and his anger brings them back. The trio again decides to figure out what is going on before something bad happens. With the aide of the faeries, wil ...more

Air is the second book in the Elemental series. The story revolves around a teenage witch name Shayna. She is actually an "Elemental" a witch that derives her powers from one of the four main elements: Air, Earth, Fire, Water. Shayna is the earth elemental, or earth mother.

Granger takes a different direction in this book. Instead of dealing with people who may be considered “bad witches” who are, summoning things, they should not, Shayna and friends have to deal with a magical creature that took

Air is the second story to the Elemental Series by Shauna Granger. If you have not read Earth you don't know what your missing! This series has a little of everything in it. In Air it picks right up where Earth left off. The trio is enjoying then ending of the school year. Summer is coming and they are itching to get out of school and have some fun. I received a review copy in exchange for my honest opinions.

Once again Shauna Granger has a hit on her hands. I stayed up all night to finish Air as it was nearly impossible to put my Kindle down. I devoured this second installment in the Elemental series as if it were the last book I'd ever read in my life.

We meet up with Shayna, Jodi, and Steven not long after their brush with Jensen's brother Ian. Shayna still doesn't want an exclusive relationship and though I understand why, I still think

I didn't like this one as much as the first, mainly because of Shayna. Her personality through the book continued to aggravate me as the story unfolded. I can understand being angry that no one wants to believe you about something but she seemed to take her anger, and at time contempt, of those who couldn't/wouldn't understand to another level that made me kinda hate her. I kept wanting someone to smack her or even put her in her place.

I enjoyed the first book in this series but my only criticism was that Shayna was sometimes a bit too much of a goody two shoes.

In this one I found her unbearably self righteous, self important and generally a bit of a dick. Her friends are snivelling sycophants and Shayna always knows best. Even a mature, practising Wiccan needs Shayna to tell her what to do and how to do it. She generally goes round pointing out people's flaws, looking down on them, patronising them and wagging her finger at

I really liked this book and how you think its nearly finished as they are so close to catching Jeremy and he just escapes them.

I'm feeling really bad for Jensen as he is tryg so hard to understand this new magical world that he has come in to but Shay is being abit impacient with him. obviously your first thought when someone tells you that faries are real you're gonna laugh. I hope that she gives him more of a chance in the next books.

I am also looking forward to see what type of power all 3 o

Gets better as series goes

Great series. Some of the the way the story is told leaves me a little confused. Also it feels like there should be something a little more to the plot. If only more talking between characters. Other than that I'm really enjoying it.

I was hoping this book would focus more on Jodi's powers, but Shauna was still the main character. It left some questions unanswered, but overall still a very good read. Excited to see what Water has in store!

Like so many other writers, Shauna grew up as an avid reader, but it was in high school that she realized she wanted to be a writer. She released the first installment of her Paranormal YA Series, The Elemental Series, Earth, on May 1, 2011 and has since released four sequels, with the series coming to an end with Spirit. In December of 2013 she release the first in her Paranormal Post-Apocalyptic ...more
