He panted. Every sip of air seemed to burn his lungs. The air was thick and sticky; it smelled like rotten fish mixed with ammonia.
He could feel the rough concrete against his back; he shifted his position and stole a glance at the east ramp. Nothing. Only darkness and stillness.
It just made him more alert; the quietness was somehow out of place.

The concept of the first story is pure genious. The story had my nerves wired and my adrenaline pumping. I absolutely could not put the book down. Imagination at its best. I wish the author would expand on the story (it would make a great novelette).
2 short stories, one of them very short.
enjoyable, though not that much.

Helmy Kusuma was born into a small family where he spent most of his childhood dreaming and fantasizing about galaxy far far away and being a captain of starship enterprise.

Growing up he met up with the world and its mysterious beings, girls. Thus he spent the next twenty years or so on the precarious subject, man's addiction to these beings.

And so became his first novel.
