Standard thriller with not much to shout about. Part of a series of books featuring Dugan (a lawyer) and his PI wife Kirsten. In this one Dugan walks into what looks like a kidnapping when going to reclaim his towed-away car. His intervention leads to involvement with the daughter of a Chinese/Mexican immigrant who operates on the threshold of the law. The plot is fairly straightforward and only really picks up when focusing on Kirsten who is the more proactive character of the husband and wife ...more
