Interesting and thorough biography of First Lady Martha Washington.
Kristine
A concise yet detailed biography if the nation's first first lady, Martha Washington. Plenty of information packed into its pages, enough so even adults can learn something. Good mix of text and pictures to keep it from feeling overwhelming. The placement of some of the side boxes did become frustrating and could be confusing for some children (whether or not to read the box where it's placed or after finishing the sentence/page/chapter).

I have read a lot about George Washington, but not much about Martha. So, I was glad to learn more about her. She was an impressive woman, who did a lot in her lifetime.
