An adorable short novel about a chonky little cat who runs away from home and eventually realizes what he once took for granted throughout his journey while he experiences the beauty of Aichi prefecture. The writing was great, the characters were cute; especially Maru himself, and I absolutely LOVE the beautifully hand-painted art work on every second page, which really added so much to the book.
