On the tenth anniversary of the Septemer 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, David Ray Griffin reviews the troubling questions that remain unanswered 9/11 Ten Years Later is David Ray Griffin's tenth book about the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Asking in the first chapter whether 9/11 justified the war in Afghanistan, he explains why it did not. In the following three chapters, devoted to the destruction of the World Trade Center, Griffin asks why otherwise rational journalists have endorsed miracles (understood as events that contradict laws of science). Also, introducing the book's theme, Griffin points out that 9/11 has been categorized by some social scientists as a state crime against democracy. Turning next to debates within the 9/11 Truth Movement, Griffin reinforces his claim that the reported phone calls from the airliners were faked, and argues that the intensely debated issue about the Pentagon—whether it was struck by a Boeing 757—is quite unimportant. Finally, Griffin suggests that the basic faith of Americans is not Christianity but "nationalist faith"—which most fundamentally prevents Americans from examining evidence that 9/11 was orchestrated by U.S. leaders—and argues that the success thus far of the 9/11 state crime against democracy need not be permanent.

The reason we live in hell: cogent, ungainsayable and scrupulously documented. This is categorically the best account I've read of the psychopathologically-motivated false-flag attack that has bequeathed to us two cataclysmic and unnecessary wars, the systematic shredding of the American Constitition, the effective on-going obliteration of the American midlle class, and the genocidal immiseration of practically everyone who isn't a bloated plutocrat siphoning off the last drop of our economic blood into his Cayman Islands bank account. If you want to know when America ended, this was when, and Griffin painstakingly documents exactly how it was done.

"It is impossible to see, apart from revealing the truth about 9-11, how American political life could ever again become more than a hollow shell of democracy." This statement by David Ray Griffin basically sums it all up. 9-11 Truth really is that important. And yet we live in a bizarre Twilight Zone world where the media absolutely refuses to question the official story, even though the official story is ridiculous.

This book covers a lot of ground, and it's hard for me to keep my review short, but basically I'll say that it's an excellent book in which Griffin uses his typical cool and calm logic to destroy the official 9-11 story. My two favorite chapters are chapter two and chapter eight. In chapter two Griffin does a brilliant job of turning the tables on the supporters of the official story. He demonstrates how these people, who often accuse truthers of being irrational and unscientific, are in fact the ones who are irrational and unscientific. Chapter eight is a fascinating discussion of things like nationalist faith, conspiracy theory, psychology, and censorship. Indeed, nationalist faith, which is described as a blinding faith in American goodness, is a major reason why many Americans won't even look at the evidence which proves that the official story is a big lie. And speaking of conspiracy theory, one of my favorite quotes in the book describes the modern "Orwellian redefinition" of the term: "A conspiracy theory no longer means an event explained by a conspiracy. Instead, it now means any explanation, or even a fact, that is out of step with the government's explanation."

Another important thing discussed in this book is the "professionalization" of the 9-11 Truth Movement. We now have groups such as Architects and Engineers for 9-11 Truth, Pilots for 9-11 Truth, Firefighters for 9-11 Truth, Scientists for 9-11 Truth, Military Officers for 9-11 Truth, Intelligence Officers for 9-11 Truth, and Veterans for 9-11 Truth. The combined membership of all these groups numbers in the thousands. Many of the members are experts in their fields, have several years of experience, and have very impressive credentials. Of course the media ignores these people and pretends that these professional groups don't exist.

People who research 9-11 have to be careful these days because there is a ton of disinfo out there. Many 9-11 Truth websites, including some of the most popular ones, are "controlled opposition" whose purpose is not to expose the truth but rather to contain it. In my opinion, if you read the 9-11 books by David Ray Griffin, along with the two 9-11 books by Christopher Bollyn, you will have a good idea of what happened on 9-11 and who was behind it.

This book presents compelling evidence to debunk the official version of what happened on 9/11 that subsequently sent the US to war in Afghanistan and Iraq.
19 Islamics hijacked 4 planes crashing 2 into the twin towers and 1 with an almost impossible manoeuvre into the Pentagon.
The twin towers along with WTC 7 which wasn't hit at all collapsed demolition like within hours of each other and was blamed on fires that weakened the supporting steel pillars.
Thousands of engineers, scientists and demolition experts disagreed with the official version of events but were gaslit as kooks by the government and it's supporters.
Inexplicably no convincing footage or enough plane wreckage exists showing a plane flying at ground level and having crashed into the Pentagon even though it is one of the most secure buildings in the world.
Experienced pilots say this plane manoeuvre into the Pentagon was almost impossible and the alleged pilot Hanjour was deemed hopeless by his flying instructor.
No steel frame building in history has collapsed due to fire the way WTC 7 allegedly did in the appearance of a controlled demolition.
MSM , Colleges , think tanks or Government agencies won't touch the subject and anyone who pushes back on the official explanation loses their job.
Independent investigations are dismissed.
The faith in government either real or contrived keeps the official narrative alive.
In other words it is incredulous to think a government would harm it's own people this way for gaining oil or for military purposes.
Why wouldn't they though?
History shows it's absolutely possible.
The book is thoroughly convincing of an inside job on 9/11 and should be read by all.

This is one of several books I've read on the subject of 9/11. A lot of what I have already learned was repeated in this one, although there were some interesting "10-years-later" updates. I was really pleased to read that there are many many groups of people in the US banding together in the attempt to get the truth out. Good on them, and good luck to them!

I always finish a book but I really struggled with this.

I found it rude, disrespectful, conceited and very poorly laid out. This is aside from the whole subject matter which I found distasteful. Perhaps I shouldn't have read a book on a conspiracy on 9/11 as I do NOT believe that at all.

Is it really necessary to state that people who died did not make phone calls from planes? Very cowardly bearing in mind that they have no right of reply as they are dead?

Then the author starts to allege 7/7 in London was in some way disputable? BUT gives no basis of fact or any reason for this? I guess it is easy to state things in a book and earn a handsome profit from it. Like vultures circling a dying animal?

I understand there are some unusual occurrences and possible discrepancies here and there BUT nobody has flown two jumbo jets in to buildings before???

I did not enjoy this at all and as a book review I cannot give it any stars as it was odious, arrogant and poorly laid out.

This book is a comprehensive study taking full advantage of the profusion of articles/media coverage available on the Net. Unfortunately, my read was spoiled by two things:

- the author's insistence on repeating content (often word for word). In Chapter 5 - "Phone Calls From The 9/11 Planes", some of the facts are repeated more than three times. Unbelievably, the final chapter (9) starts by summarising the main points from the preceding 8 chapters! Why? This book is based on series of essays and lectures on 9/11 whose content inevitably overlaps each other. I feel that the book would have benefited if the duplicated content had been edited out. I wonder if the duplicated content has been left untouched to pad the book out (the Notes/sources and Index starts at 62% in my Kindle edition).

- throughout the book, Griffin constantly refers to HIS other books as source material (free publicity?). This practice wore me down after a while and I skimmed through the content from Chapter 6 onwards...

Blew the doors off the official story.

This book was solid. David Ray Griffin lays out what doesn’t add up, what got skipped over, and what was straight-up ignored. It’s not emotional. It’s not dramatic. It just puts the facts in front of you. And once you start looking at it all together, it’s hard to see the official story the same way.

The big thing I took away is how quick people are to call you a conspiracy nut just for asking questions. That’s the part that makes you think. If you’re not allowed to question something, especially something this huge, then maybe the people calling you crazy are just afraid of the truth.

Reading this made me see how much 9/11 changed America. It led to war, surveillance, fear, and a lot of things we just accept now. This book doesn’t scream at you, it just shows you what we weren’t told. Five stars.

Brilhante e contundente, o livro definitivo (ate o momento) sobre o 11/9. O autor, amparado por um batalhao de cientistas, quimicos, engenheiros e arquitetos pulveriza a versão oficial do governo dos EUA sobre os atentados, principalmente a mal-acabada explicacao sobre a queda do Edificio 7. Me lembro, inclusive, no dia dos "atentados", jornalistas brasileiros boquiabertos conjeturando se a supracitada torre teria sido implodida como um predio condenado (informacao esta que foi rapidamente escondida na midia norte-americana)

Griffin defende seu ponto de vista com convicçao e categoria, e após a agradavel leitura (um page-turner como dizem) o leitor nao tem outra alternativa a nao ser aceitar que a verdadeira "teoria da conspiracao" é a versão oficial, que necessita de "verdadeiros milagres" para se sustentar. Com um poder de argumentacao poucas vezes visto, o autor se da ao luxo de ate explicar porque alguns jornalistas mais bem instruidos ainda aceitam a versao bizarra e fantasiosa vendida inicialmente por Bush/Cheney e agora por Obama.

Se ha um defeito a ser apontado é que o autor repete varias vexes o mesmo argumento ao longo do livro com alguns ctrl c + ctrl v, como em um exercicio de fixacao em um livro academico. No entanto, neste tipo de obra, o formato e a técnica tornam-se insignificantes perto da importância dos fatos e da força dos argumentos e da logica do autor. Este é provavelmente o livro que eu li que, apos consideravel numero de reviews, mantinha a mais alta nota média no Goodreads, por isso criou grande expectativa. E a expectativa foi plenamente satisfeita. Espero que, apos lançar 10 livros sobre o Onze de Setembro, o professor Griffin tenha saúde para lançar ainda mais livros com novas revelacoes sobre o assunto. Vale a pena acompanhar.

p.s. confesso que antes de ler esta obra eu tambem era um dos "que desprezavam a teoria do 'inside job' com medo de ser ridicularizado" que o autor cita e por isso descartava veementemente a ideia do 11/9 ser uma "false flag operation". Nao sou uma pessoa particularmente crédula e fujo de teorias mirabolantes mas digo que poucas vezes um livro me converteu tao rapidamente, tamanho poder de persuasao que contém.

Until the time that our government steps up and produces clear facts that contradict the charges and evidence Dr. Griffin meticulously presents in this well-documented book (and to my knowledge, our government has not bothered to do this), then all I can say is, with the apostle John, "He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus."

I’m a tad embarrassed to even have read this book; thank goodness the last quarter was notes (presumably to the author’s own works?) I didn’t bother reading!

I was 10 when 9/11 occurred—like most, I remember that day. I heard about this book on a podcast I trust and was interested, but the lack of actual substantive content in this book that didn’t just repeat from a previous section made it hard to take seriously. It’s extremely reiterative and on occasions the same sentences are pasted in word for word!

I can’t personally believe much in terms of the alternative theories presented (nor did I think I would), but I thought it was worth a read. Really, though, it’s unfortunate that it could’ve been read in half the time had it been better edited.
