Do you have about 20 minutes and nothing to do? Well, then I think you need to check out Lauren Hawkeyes novelette, Take Me Down. This super sexy, fast read will take you into a moment in time in a dark kitchen on a steamy night. Poor Evie doesn’t have great self confidence and is already feeling bad that her younger sister has just gotten married before her. Slick with sweat from the hot night she only wants an ice cold glass of water to quench her thirst. What she finds in the kitchen though w ...more

Take Me Down by Lauren Hawkeye is the first book in the Erotic Me series. This was actually my first story that I've read by Lauren Hawkeye and I have to say that it definitely won't be my last. It was very good and even though it was a short it didn't feel as if anything was missing or left out. I got a real sense of the characters and this book was HOT! It was just full of punch and I can't wait to see what else this series has to offer.

I read this in 5 minutes, my first e-book. I usually listen to books or get the actual book. I picked it strictly for our staff reading challenge where it's fierce competition!
The story definitely was erotic, as stated, quick & dirty if I may say so 😂 At the end, I thought there was more but I swiped and was disappointed...😮
It’s a hot, sweltering night and all Evie wants is a cold glass of water. Her house is overrun with friends and family in town for her younger sister’s wedding. She slips out of bed and quietly makes her way to the kitchen. Suddenly she’s not alone and she finds herself face to face with her old crush from years ago, Lucas. Evie had no idea he’d even been at the wedding but Lucas is still as handsome as ever. And what’s more, he seems to be looking at Evie with more than just friendship in his e ...more

I love a good short story. You know, one where I'm pulled in quickly and want to know what's going to happen next. This is one of those stories. It's first person, which isn't my favorite, but in the short form, it works. Lauren Hawkeye writes an interesting tale of heat, ice, and redemption.

I realize this book is first person and we only get Evie's point of view. I liked that we're in her

I was a little surprised when I found out Take Me Down was a short story, but since I haven't read too many erotic books that I have enjoyed much, I wanted to give this one a try. Take Me Down hooked me in from the start, with Evie and Lucas steamy scene sucking me into the story. Not only was I pulled in quickly, but I wanted to know what was going to happen next. I flew through the pages quicker than I had originally expected to.

Evie is an insecure woman, always feeling second best to her you

From the very first descriptive sentence you are grabbed and pulled into Evie’s life. Lauren Hawkeye is an incredibly talented writer to be able to do what she did in so few pages. She drops you into the story and doesn’t miss a beat, you know exactly who and what is going on (boy do you ever know what is going on).

Evie is spending a sweltering night with a house full of guests when an unexpected one catches her off guard. He is no stranger though as she had tried to catch his interes

Ok ladies, you are going to love this book, I read Erotic books all the time, but, this is the first time I have reviewed it on my blog. It's a little book with a huge punch. It's 23-pages in total, now I know what your thinking, how could such a small book be any good, it's over before it's begun. That's just not the case with Take Me Down.

It starts off fast and draws you right into the story, Evie is a lady with big self esteem issues, and when her sister beats her to the alter, it makes her

I have been looking forward to reading Lauren’s series for a while. I am really enjoying the amazing erotic romance books that we have read for the site and Lauren has written what is so far an amazing series.

In the first book for this series we meet Evie and Lucas. We also find the setting for the series is Evie’s home. Lucas is Evie’s cousin’s roommate and until now Evie hasn’t known that Lucas likes her. All that changes when Evie

Take Me Down is a sexy quick read that will have your panties in a bunch in less than 30 minutes. Evie and Luke have a sexy encounter in the kitchen involving a pitcher of cold water that is so sexy and hot, that I wouldn't be surprised if steam was coming out my ears. Because this is a short story, very little back story is given but with that said, it is easy to dive into the sexual attraction between the main characters. The story is told in 1st person, Evie's point of view. But we don't miss ...more

This novella was just as hot as the summer night it's set in.

A wedding, a sweltering summer night, a house full of guests and the quest for relief sets the scene for this steamy encounter.

Evie has so many house guests that she doesn't even know who is spending the night after her sister's wedding. All she knows is she's hot, miserable and doesn't have the privacy to sleep how she prefers: naked. Unable to stand the heat any more, she wanders

If you have a few minutes and you want a really spicy erotic story, Lauren Hawkeye delivers with the super short, Take Me Down. The story is only about 20ish pages long, but it is packed full of heat.

I would have liked it to be a bit longer, so you could get to know Lucas a bit more and really understand his attraction to Evie, but I'm not complaining.

I'm definitely looking forward to the next three stories in this series.

Lauren Hawkeye/ Lauren Jameson never imagined that she'd wind up telling stories for a living... though when she looks back, it's easy to see that she's the only one who is surprised. Always "the kid who read all the time", Lauren made up stories about her favorite characters once she'd finished a book... and once spent an entire year narrating her own life internally. No, really. But where she wa ...more
