This is a must-read for rodeo fans. It gave such an insight to what a bull rider goes through trying to achieve his goals. Being non fiction, I still found it a beautiful story. What men will risk for the sake of a prize is something I love to see in people, and this book perfectly depicts that. There is glory and tragedy in every page. The writing was a little dry, not exactly going to keep you on the edge of your seat, but a story of overwhelming bravery and resolution about some of the best bull riders in history.
This seemed appropriate as I am learning about bull riding and watching it on Versus whenever I can. Some may even say that I identify with the "grand obsession" portion of the title! HA!
This was interesting but it's better to watch the PBR on Versus when there's a good commentator. You'll learn more.
A story about real life pro rodeo bull riders. Exciting and scary. The parts describing the injuries felt so real. How'd did they ever get back on after one is unbelievable.
