Richard Singer's "Your Daily Walk With the Great Minds" is a daily meditation book that raises the bar on the rest. How he knows where to find the pieces of greatness that are the quotes from brilliant humanitarians, philosophers, historians, etc. is in itself a huge achievement. He starts each day w/one of those quotes, then a meditation to think about and finally a recommendation for daily journaling. Whether or not you journal, the quotes and Singer's interpretations are applicable to every walk of life. I knew this was something special when I realized I was putting aside additional time every day to read and think about the quote and meditations. It's hard in a busy and hectic world to believe that there's really time to find your passions and act on them. Just by trying to act on his daily journaling thought and the quote of the day, I feel a little bit more promise in my day, even if it lasts for only a little bit. There's also recommendations for a book a month that I would trust now that I've spent some time with this Daily Walk.

If a reader is in need of quiet contemplation and inspirational passages this is the book for him/her! Each passage in the year contains a quote, meditation piece, and a personal journaling query or suggestion. These are actually very good pieces, the reader will be able to infer that an extensive amount of thought was put into selecting just what to put down.

There is also a passage labelled " A Conversation with Rick Singer." This passage contains questions and answers that a reader may wonder after completing the first half of the book; for instance, why did Mr. Singer decide to write this book and what did he hope people would get from reading it? The book also contains an index with a complete list of the people who stated the quotes in the book for the reader's reference. This book is recommended for people who enjoy self-help nonfiction.

This book is a tremendously handy tool to start each day with a positive mindset. It’s also useful to review at the end of the day, see what came up that may benefit from journalling and drift to sleep with soothing uplifting thoughts, as well. Thank you, Rick, for compiling this awesome collection of wisdom & I look forward to reading more from you.
