Nisam od onih koji čitaju ili gledaju hororce ili strašne priče/filmove. No prošle godine navukla sam se (još mi je nevjerojatno) na seriju "Živi mrtvaci / Walking dead". Za one koji ne znaju, serija je krcata ružnim i prerealnim zombijima. Uf! Ali navikne se čovjek na svašta. :)

Ova knjiga ima jako sličnu radnju, glavni akteri također su zombiji, no kako sam već kroz seriju bila upoznata s mogućim scenarijem, knjiga mi nije djelovala nimalo zastrašujuće. Dapače, zahvaljujući seriji mogla sam je

David Case's contribution to the horror genre is seriously under recognized. Sure, he's been collected by Centipede Press, but how many of us have THAT BOOK? And sure Stephen Jones, and Pan heralded him, but exposure, acknowledgement, and respect seem strangely absent. Is there something we don't know?

Pelican Cay is one of the finest, most tense, and scariest zombie stories extant. It's that good. In an ideal world it would exist alongside Lansdale's 'On The Far Side..' on the ToC of The Best Zo

Just for Pelican Cay really. The other tales didn't grab as much. I would love to see a best of David Case.
