In part 2 of the New York's Finest series, Naomi and Damian are in hiding trying to figure out what's going to be their next move. They will have to be very careful because not only are the FEDS looking for them, a group of South American mobsters also has their sights set on them.
Kiki Swinson was born and raised in Portsmouth, Virginia. She discovered her flair for writing after completing her first novel, Mad Shambles, while serving a five-year sentence at a federal prison. After being released in December 1996, Kiki later went on to self-publish Mad Shambles. Her passion for writing didn't stop there. Writing feverishly into the wee hours of the night, she completed her second novel, Wifey, which was published by Melodrama Publishing. After the success of Wifey, Kiki penned the sequels I'm Still Wifey and Life After Wifey, as well as The Candy Shop and A Sticky Situation.
This picked right up where one left up. Foxx really stepped up and helped when it came to getting Reggie back. Miguel wasn't shit for what he was trying to pull. I was also glad Naomi was finally able to step up and show she could be a leader. Now it's time to start on part 3.
I am feeling this series and will get the next book. It’s a very good story. Although part 1 was better, part 2 did it’s job. My only criticism is that Naomi is a little more marginalized in the second book. Talks a big game but doesn’t do a whole lot. I hope to get more action from her. Maybe even having her take the full lead like Stone or Foxx. Anyway, looking forward to the next book in the series.
The book good it dragged a little bit but all around good read. I love Foxx he’s the type of dad you want when things hit the fan with his boy Stone. Naomi and Damon are good together. This book had a banging cliffhanger. Gotta read part three to see what else going to happen.
The story picked up from where it left off, Naomi and Damian had to go back to New York because they received news that Reggie had been kidnap. Naomi is determined to find out who has taken her brother.
This book was good from beginning to the end suspense, kidnapping, drug trafficking and gun battles. Betrayal from the ones you love. Keeps you wanting more.
