Fantastic book on the Gospel of Thomas. Author is in Chicago area and heads up a discussion group called Common Ground. Look for upcoming meetings at www.cg.org.

I believe in the pluralism of religions. "pluralism stems from the hypothesis that if one religion is true, then all religions are probably true. " The diversity of religions parallels (somewhat) the diversity of languages. There are many ways to articulate the divine mystery and therefore different paths leading to it. Studying the gnostic gospels we see how many religions helped to develop the Christian religion, if we are open to it. St. Thomas was not pro-hierarchy and formalized religion. W ...more
