I just love these kind of books

These books are fun to read and good for making conversation. I was at a family reunion when my sister in-law announced we were having a talent show. I was not prepared to share a talent but didn't want to be left out. When it was my turn to "go on stage" I quickly grabbed this book and shared some of "the useless information" I found in it. Everyone got a big kick out of it and I was a hit

This is not really a normal book. Basically it lists useless facts in specified categories for about 200 pages. I enjoy these books because, although the title says "useless" information, I have used many of the facts for various situations mostly at school. My favorite section of the book is where it lists random laws in states and countries because it is really funny and it can really impress people if you can remember some of these facts. What set this book aside from the other books of useless information is that this one has about 80 pages solely dedicated to famous musicians and songs which can contain rather interesting facts about the most famous bands of all time such including a large section about the Beatles. I would recommend this book to basically anybody who would like to know a lot of random facts.

This was, alas, ACTUALLY useless information.
The book does group the information into catagories, but there's absolutely no mention of where the info comes from, nor enough detail to go look it up and see if it's true.
It's one thing to say a superstar has so many children named whatever- you could look that up. But to start stating what a song is based on (someone else's poem) without stating the details... it's just a one (rambling) sentance of useless information.
Sad.
Not all that enjoyable a read either, unless you're stuck in the restroom, because it IS just a smattering of one-three sentance random 'facts'.

Loved the book. Had trouble with football chapter. Did not diminish the rest of the book
