I think there are definitely some good tips on how to get started drawing in the manga style and in general. That being said, that's only the first half of the (already very small) book. The rest of the book just shows you different character archetypes common in Japanese manga and a brief blurb about them. It's a very bare-bones introduction which is perfectly fine if that's what you're looking for.

That being said, the first half of the book contains several tidbits that I see myself coming back to reference frequently in the future. In particular, the explanations of how to draw a feminine vs masculine figure and the page showing and telling how to draw different expressions will be very useful.
