I found this on the bargain table at Border's over the summer and acquired it for the princely sum of four bucks. It was worth it. The book is sturdily constructed and each insect gets a half-page to full page photograph, along with an informative entry, a map showing where it can be found, classification info (phylum, order, etc.), and even the wingspan. The photos are of a really high quality. It's the perfect gift for the insect enthusiast in your life.
Not really what I needed for my yard, but for others it would be great. Seems more like for just a general overview of insects. Doesn't tell me which of my plants they eat.
