The American Museum of Natural History Easy Readers series is my favorite easy reader series yet. Each book contains good quality facts and imagery. Unlike other easy readers, I believe the levels to be spot on. Level one is actually good for a level 1 reader. The sentence structure and vocabulary are simple. Besides my kids loving this series and being able to read the books on their own, my favorite part of the book is the scientist biography. Not only do the kids learn about the specific topic that the book discusses, in this case, Sharks, but they also learn about the scientist who studies sharks! It opens up great exploratory and imaginative conversation with the kids.

My Kinder son loves this book. The pictures are very exciting and clear. Approximately 1 sentence per page. Book offers a detail about 12 different sharks.
