“It Wasn’t Me!” is a delightful story written by 12 year-old, Analisse and illustrated by another young girl, Lauren Filzenger. The story of Scotty the mouse is told in a charming rhyme. We learn that Scotty spends his time lying, cheating, stealing and being just plain “bad”. He commits a terrible offense and tries to get out of trouble by blaming someone else and saying it wasn’t him.

This story teaches children the importance of always telling the truth and "owning up" when you have done something wrong. Being truthful is an extremely important lesson for all kids. Children will love to read this story and see the adorable big-eared mice. Parents will love the lesson their children will learn. I look forward to more books from this talented young author.
