Blaecleah Brothers #4

Cowboy Courage

Rate this book
[Siren Classic Erotic Alternative Cowboy Romance, M/M, sex toys] Benjamin Brody and Neason Blaecleah shared one special night together then went their separate ways, both afraid of what they wanted from the other and neither willing to put themselves out on a limb. But a fateful mistake changes all of that. When Neason is involved in a car accident, he's left without his sight. Neason's anger and pain are out of control, and the only one that seems to be able to handle him is a man he never expected to see again. When Neason's brother delivers him from the hospital into Brody's hands, Neason's anger knows no bounds. But his curiosity and need for what Brody can give him is more powerful than his rage. Neason just doesn't know if he has the strength and courage to give up the control Brody seems to need from him, not when he doesn't know if Brody wants to keep him. ** A Siren Erotic Romance

About Me
I believes the only thing sexier than a man in cowboy boots is two, or three men in cowboy boots. I also believes in love at first sight, soul mates, true love, and happy endings.

I live in the great Northwest region of the USA, with my gorgeous husband and soul mate, two boxer/collie puppies, one old biddy cats, and three fish. When I'm not being a mother to my six teenagers or cleaning up after my two 70 pound lap puppies, you can usually find me cuddled in bed with a book in my hand and a puppy in my lap. Or on my laptop, creating the next sexy man for one of my stories.

I welcomes comments from readers, so drop me a line. stormyglenn@hotmail.com

I really liked this book for the depth of feeling between Neason and Brody, as well as for the cowboy setting - hard to resist that one! I think the idea of having a character go blind and showing how he deals with it was good, as was the concept of the second main character helping him. The effects that would have on any relationship are worth writing a story about!

I felt so sorry for Neason initially - he has this need to submit but no idea how to go about it safely, landing himself in real physical distress when he gets abused rather than dominated. While he is probably not the last person this will happen to, it is still awful to see. My pity changed into admiration, however, when he started to deal with not just his blindness (which was admirable enough), but also with his feelings for Brody and his need to submit.

Brody, on the other hand, I have some real bones to pick with. The 'superior' air and his uncompromising 'I need to be in charge' attitude grated on my nerves. His stupid and useless attempts to unbalance Neason further by moving stuff around in an environment that Neason was familiar with was totally uncalled for, cruel and just - grrrrr. No real Dom worth his money would do that. Just to 'make Neason totally dependent on him'? Come on!!!!!!!!!!! Irresponsible, aggravating, and plain idiotic are just some of the descriptors that come to my mind.

On the whole, while I think there were some elements the story could have definitely done without, it was still an interesting one to read. If you like cowboys, characters with flaws, and seeing men deal with real issues, you will probably like this book.

I love the Blaecleah bros series but I must say I didn't like Neason's story. Brody was a creep to just bail on Neason because he could not be a total submissive being a rancher and all. Talk about selfish. Poor Neason gets all messed up and beaten because he was devastated by Brody's abandonment. Neason was short changed on the Legend bit. It's obvious Brody thinks less of guys who are willing to bottom as he goes out of his way to say he is the top.

Ugh, I hope Seamus and Ruben get better stories. I loved the first three i hope 5 and 6 will follow that path.

I like Neason but not Brody. But I did like him before when he showed up in the other stories. But this personalty surprised me. Not like the Rev that married the other brothers.
I agree with another review, I didn't really care for Brody many times thru this, and his attitude ruined it in part for me.
Moving stuff/furniture around on "Anyone" who is trying to learn his blindness is just plain "Mean" and uncalled for. It's suppose to be a Dom/Sub thing but I don't believe any decent Dom would make someone dependent on him thru fear and manipulation, poor man would be afraid to walk in his own home, cause Brody could change thing on him.
Least fav in series, hopefully won't see much of Brody again.

¡Neason!

I'm kind of over dom/sub relationships unless the participants are both switches. Add in Brody messing with a blind man's ability to function in his own home, and this book just ticked me off.

2.5 stars. I had some issues with Brody that kept me from enjoying this one more. Will continue to read the rest of the series to see what happens with the other brothers.

Hey lets make a character blind so we can Stockholm him with love.... combined with
"Hey I'm going to take your brother up to a cabin for a couple weeks after his traumatic accident so I can Stockholm him into admitting he loves me...." "Okay, see you in a month"

What...

I will be honest this one made me to a double take, I read the blurb but it didn't register that Brody was the priest who married Lany and Asa it just didn't occur to me that it would be the same person. So when the penny dropped I have to say I was a bit shocked. Not that he was gay but that that he had that particular kink. Now don't get me wrong here I like that kink in books so its not that it the fact he is a priest but once I got over that I have to say I loved this. I felt so sorry for Neason especially after his accident but the fact Brody took control of everything gave him the space to heal. I think this is one of my favourite books in this series so far just because it is just about the 2 of them and Neason's struggle to come to terms not only with his needs but with his new reality. If I stay honest I would have liked the ending to be a little different, (spoiler alert!!!!!) I would have liked him to stay blind rather then gain some eye sight back, because I think it would have been the brave thing to do with him. I still loved it though so I cant hold that against it.

Okay....wow. Brody. Reverend Benjamin Brody. Tattooed, pierced, biker. Pair that with a very hot cowboy and, well, ummm, I'm fanning myself here!

Neason is in pretty dire straits. He's so ashamed that he needs to be dominated that he goes about it all wrong and ends up being painfully abused. When his BIL calls Brody to come and talk with him, Neason freaks out because he and Brody had one night and then Brody disappeared leaving Neason to think Brody didn't want him. Well, in the midst of freaking out, Neason gets in an accident and loses his sight.

Now Brody has a chance to show Neason what they can have together and prepare him for living blind. Brody isn't going to lose the man he loves, not at any cost. These books are just plain good and once again I'm eagerly anticipating the next one!

The story of Neason and Brody was a good one. It was nice not to get smacked with insta-love right away. Neason is a man who needed to be a submissive but really didn't know what it all entailed. He began doubting himself which led to bad choices of partners and injuries to Neason. Brody is a good dominant and a gentle man. I liked the way that Brody taught Neason what truly being a sub is about. Their time alone in the cabin solidified their trust in each other and cemented their love. There was a good amount of angst in this story because neither man wanted to just put his feelings on the line. The end of the book brought a whole new Neason out of the past he struggled so hard with.

Well, I'll be honest here. I love the stories of brothers Blaecleah and was eager for the story of Neason and Brody. But when I started, I almost had a lock. I hate D / s. Just do not go down. I had to make a huge effort to continue. Even more when I started hating Brody, because despite wanting the total submission of Neason, did not want only physically but also emotionally, totally dependent on him. Okay, lock it again. Hate that!
But throughout history, I began to understand why this addiction and had to give a hand to paddle. A beautiful story that left nothing to be desired on the other, about overcoming her fears and accept who you are and take control of your desires in the hands of your partner.

typical stormy glenn romance. nothing fantastic, nothing so bad it can't be finished. what is typical stormy glenn? imagine a shorter harlequin romance but with no t&a (see, i was going to write no surprise pregnancies, but... yeah.).

laziness dictates i will use this as my template for all books by the following authors unless a book is remarkably good/bad :
stormy glenn
lynn hagen
scarlet hyacinth
joyee flynn
carol lynne

3 stars.

There were still a few editing snafus that I would expect to not occur in professional published books, but the plot was good and gripping.

The ending, while very happy indeed, seemed more a cop out and ultra easy than keeping truer to reality. This is the reason it isn't 3.5 or 4 stars. I would have liked .

I am proud of myself for having been able to read this book. The only reason why the d/s element didn't come off really strong was the fact that Neason turned blind and had no other choice but to rely on Brody. I still didn't like that he still had to care for Brody though (as in do all the household stuff). I rate this 3 stars not because of the BDSM, but because I found the plot a bit weak as well. I think it could've had more of a storyline.

I've said it before these Blaecleah brother are HOT....buuut I liked this one just not as much as the others. I guess it's the whole D/s thing that I don't get (I shall explore more :P) I did just finish #5 with Rueben & Eli. Now I really can't wait to see what happens with Seamus, Yancy, and the Sheriff.

I was in a bad mood when I started reading this and I smiled while reading it and everything. so, this book was practically miraculous.

The glaringly blatant and overly dramatic stupidity of the main characters that has run rampant through this series continues in this book. But still, you like them and you smile. It's a mystery wrapped in an enigma.

Пока самая слабая книга из серии о братьях Блаэкла (точно не произнесу). Всё намешано и БДСМ и слепота, а в итоге каша и нет достоверности, герои картонные, чувства непонятные. Хотелось скорее закрыть книгу.

Grrrrrrr

Brody was an as$hole and Neason gave in way to easily. 🙄
Neason needed to find someone that would love him for who he was BEFORE he went blind and was at the total mercy of Brody.

out of all the books from this series, this one was my least favorite. I still liked it but I didn't feel like I got my Stormy Glenn fix with this story.

Is this really the ending sentence of the book?!?! "I've got some really good news for you Neason?"

It seems SO abrupt!
