Overall, this was pretty good. It was a little different from the movie, but this book is great for young readers who had watched the movie and enjoyed it. It was really fantastic of that story of the dolphin and Sawyer and now I might read Dolphin Tale 2.

Dolphin Tale: A Tale of True Friendship by Emma Ryan (Adapted by), Karen Janszen- Hindi language translation by Arvind Gupta- Children’s Illustrated Colour Picture Book- the book narrates the story of two friends first a dolphin named Winter and a boy named Sawyer. While on the sea shore, Sawyer finds that a Dolphin Winter is stuck in a crab trap. Clearwater Marine Hospital carries Winter to the Aquarium. Here it is found that Winter is not able to move her tail. On X-ray, it is found that her spinal chord has been injured. Whenever Winter sees Sawyer, she whistles with joy and moves. Doctors take the clue that they must call an expert. Dr. McCarthy is a prosthetics expert. He prepares a tail with a mould butt the tail does not suit her body. Another tail is prepared which is better. Winter accepts the tails and starts moving.
This story is very inspiring to not just those who love animals, but also to the ones who have gone through obstacles. Coloured illustrations help the reader in relating to the story. I have read the Hindi language translation of this book.

The book “Dolphin Tale” is based on a true story of a dolphin named Winter. One-day Winter was swimming to close to the shore and was severely hurt. Luckily enough, a boy named sawyer noticed her laying on the beach and was able to reach out for help. Winter was taken to the Marine hospital, where she wasn’t moving because she had lost her tail in a crab trap. However, when Sawyer came to visit, she whistled with joy! She definitely moves and tries to swim when her friend is around. Swimming side to side has caused more damage to Winters spinal cord. But thanks to Dr. McCarthy and Sawyers amazing idea of a prosthetic tail, Winter just might be okay after all.

This story is very inspiring to not just those who love animals, but also to the ones who have gone through obstacles. Many people that were disabled, gained hope and were encouraged by Winter’s story. Growing up babysitting many kids that had walking disabilities, and other forms, this book was heartwarming and a wonderful connection for them. This book is great for a wide range of children. I love how this book shows the true meaning of friendship and what it for tells.
