Well that was a great ride! I can see why Day has a legion of fans for the Warriors of Poseidon series.

And for those who say that Quinn is annoying and unlikable? I'm going to say, quite horribly I'm afraid - suck it up! Personally, I love a heroine that is tough, sarcastic and will do anything she needs to do in order to survive (while secretly dying inside). We need them to counter the ultra-sweet, innocent heroines who also have their place.

So Quinn, honey? *mwah* Love you almost as much as

Poseidon’s High Priest finally has his book! Readers have been interested in Alaric since he was introduced to the books early in the series. As a man who is devoted and stays true to his words, his loyalty is earned, not freely given. But the spunky rebel leader named Quinn shows just how worthy she is of his love through her actions and her words.

When Jack, a shifter who is also Quinn’s best friend is badly injured, Quinn asks Alaric to help him before his lifeforce i

When this series came out I can remember how much I loved them. I'd read them as soon and they hit the shelves. I'm not sure what happened with Heart of Atlantis. That's a lie, I knew exactly what happened, I waiting so long for this story and I was worried how it would turn out.

So I did what I do with series ending books, leave them on the shelve and move on. It's crazy I know. But for some reason I usually have t

It seems like I’ve waited forever for Alaric and Quinn’s story. Every series has a couple who readers want to see get their HEA and who will follow the series to the end to see them get it. Alaric and Quinn are that couple for The Warriors of Poseidon series by Alyssa Day. Heart of Atlantis is the eighth book in a series that saw its’ first book released in 2007. That’s five years I’ve been waiting, so

It is always a bittersweet moment when an author ends a series, add that to the fact that you have known that the series was going to end for a year.. a year!! And patiently, ok not so patiently, waited for it's release. Knowing that you will say goodbye to some favorite characters.. so very excited and yet worried. Worried that the author would blow it, would miss that climactic moment.. that the book wouldn't live up to the hype.. With her series ending book, Heart of Atlantis, Alyssa Day reac ...more

This is a bittersweet book for me, and it’s really hard to review. Alyssa Day’s Warriors of Poseidon series is one of my very first PNR series, one of my all-time favorites, and the only series I’ve kept up with since I started reading like I do now.

The end of a series is so sad, but so much was happy about this one. The last couple chapters were fantastic.

I’ll admit I actually have never liked Quinn. I’ve never found her someone I wanted to know more about

Alaric, Poseidon’s dark and seductive High Priest, has sacrificed everything to serve Poseidon and Atlantis and to ensure Atlantis rises as the prophecy has proclaimed. He knows that this is why he can never give in to the turbulent passion he feels for rebel leader, Quinn. What a ride :-)
That was great.
I did feel the last few chapters were a little rushed, and maybe the author would have liked to have slowed down a bit, but publishing had other ideas, I don't know.
But it was an epic ride. And one I have waited for, ever since Alaric and Quinn met. It was well worth the wait.
And for all the warriors to be in This book was a great way to end the series. (yes I know Denal needs his story told)
And the wedding at the end :-) didn't expect it to be THAT grand a sca

Alaric has been in love with Quinn since the first time he healed her, but as the high priest of Poseidon he has sworn an oath of celibacy. He will lose his magic if he breaks it. Atlantis and the warriors need his magic too much to make him risk it, but he is getting to the point where he no longer cares. He loves Quinn and he wants her.
When Jack almost dies in a brutal fight with vampires and evil shape shifters, something breaks inside Quinn. Serai and Alaric manage to heal his tiger side, b

*NOTE* This review contains spoilers from the first seven books in this series.

I have been waiting for this story since the very first Warriors of Poseidon book, Atlantis Rising. Ms. Day has been building the case for our heroes, Alaric and Quinn, from the very start. They’ve had a lot to overcome, including the long-held belief that the High Priest of Atlantis must remain

Alaric has been Poseidon's High Priest for over 500 years. It's a very, very powerful job, with one tremendous drawback--the High Priest has to be celibate. As bad as that sounds, he managed to get used to it, well sort of used to it, by walling himself off from his emotions. (It turns out you really can channel all that energy into power, at least if you're a Warrior of Poseidon!)

Then Prince Conlan brought home his human bride, Riley, and Alaric met Riley'

Cool Climaxing Wrap-up

It's hard to believe Alaric the High Priest of Atlantis finally gets his story of happiness with Quinn the Rebel leader which brings about the wrap up of several unfinished scenarios from each cliff hanger endings of the past 7 books in the series.

The book had several major climaxes to include Alaric and Quinn's HEA, the Rise of Atlantis, the ending of Anubisa the Goddess of Chaos and Night, the breaking of the High Priest sacred vows after Five centuries of being celibat

It was a long wait for the last book in the Warriors of Posedion series. Alaric has been waiting in agony for his happily ever after and I have waited in pain to see him finally happy. Throw in the cliffhanger from the last book of what happens to Jack, and I was on pins and needles waiting for this book.

Alaric is the High Priest of Atlantis, with a lot of responsibility that comes with it. We learn that he was kind of forced into this position, which really honked me off. Due to another priest

"Heart of Atlantis" by Alyssa Day. Book 8 (final) of the Warriors of Poseidon series.

It's about time! If you have (or haven't) read this series, the characters of Alaric and Quinn have been denying their feelings for each other since the very first book! FINALLY they get a happily ever after and what an adventure they get to have along the way.

Alaric, the High Priest of Atlantis, has wanted Quinn since the first time he met her and healed her from a gunshot wound. But as High Priest, he has been
This is the last book for Ms. Day's Atlantis Series. I stopped reading this series after book three and skipped books because the books started to sounds the same to me but I had to read Alaric's book since his cool and polished facade of simmering power just waiting to be unleashed was, heck, a turn on. His chemistry with Quinn since their initial meeting was like a bomb waiting to happen - to my way of thinking.
Boy was I disappointed. Alaric's cool and polished was replaced by a brute rough ar
It is finally Alaric and Quinn’s turn and I can’t tell you how excited I am to finally read their story!

Alaric is the high priest of Poseidon, taking a vow of celibacy and receiving great power in return for his priest hood role. Alaric realizes early on that Quinn, sister to the future Queen of Atlantis, is his mate but he does everything in his power to keep his distance until now.

Deciding he’s sacrificed enough for Poseidon he relinquishes his responsibilities to Atlantis and vows to never l
First paragraph: Prologue

The wilderness near Sedona, Arizona, just past twilight

Alaric, sword at the ready, stepped into the path of the oncoming vampire and struck its head from its body before it had a chance to get anywhere near Quinn.

A very thrilling and satisfying conclusion to the Warriors of Atlantis series, I am glad that author Day waited until the very end to give us Alaric and Quinn's story. Yes, Alaric is conceited and arrogant, more and more so over the course of the series, and Qui

Amazing read, although it had a "the end" kinda feeling to it...
Was this the last book? I just love this series and I would be really sad to find out this was the last installment. I would definitely keep reading books about this great story-line.

I've been waiting for so long for Alaric and Quinn’s story that I was ecstatic for finally being able to start this installment. Alaric was my favorite character since I started with the series and I needed to read his book and finally see him happy.

Finally we get to read Alaric and Quinn's story! Fans of this series have waited long enough to read about these two. The book was not a disappointment. It did start out a bit slowly but it picked up pretty early on in the story.

There were some very intense moments in this story and some super sweet moments in the story. Quinn and Alaric together were very hot and very loving to each other...once Quinn finally admitted she loved Alaric. She thought because of her past that she was "ruined" as s
With a sad heart I’m going to have to DNF this title and this breaks my heart. I’ve been reading the Warrior of Poseidon for years and loved every book. Sadly this one has not done it for me. I fought my way to about 40% and I just have no desire to pick it back up. I’m not sure if it’s just been too long between books and I’ve read too many books between and now I can barely remember what happened leading up to this one, or it’s just become predictable and a bit on the stale side. Quinn’s whole ...more

Alaric has been a well-known character throughout the Warriors of Poseidon books and he finally has his own story. He fell in love with Quinn the first time he ever saw her and vice-versa, thinking that a real relationship between the two of them was impossible. He has finally chosen her over his duty to Atlantis, until another threat to Atlantis' rising kidnaps Quinn and has stolen the last of the gems for the Trident. Was this suppose to be the last book in the series? I really hope not. What about Denial? He never got his own book, or Jack come on!! Maybe a spin off? The ending seemed like maybe there could be one about the Atlantis children.Overall I was pretty good. I wasn't too disappointed with how things went down with Aleric and Quinn. In fact there were many times that had me on the edge of my seat.Aleric did go from brooding and scary to making jokes and almost being carefree. But then when he was li ...more

I've been a fan of the Atlantean series for a long time so when I found out Alaric was finally getting his book I was overjoyed. Yes, we already knew his lady-love was Quinn, but they had so many obstacles to overcome it seemed impossible for them to actually be together. Alyssa did an awesome job of making their story interesting. I loved how all of the warriors were taken back to Atlantis for the final battles.
The ending was also perfect, many loose ends tied up. Though I would like to know m

I can't understand why she has waited so loooong to release this one. I have been waiting since she brought Aleric and Quinn into the very first book. I will say that I now have time to re-read them all and get the story lines all straightened out and where the go in my head. I'm look forward to December.
