I read this under another title, WEARSIDE JACK: THE HUNT FOR THE HOAXER OF THE CENTURY. An interesting read about the hunt for the Geordie who sent a tape and a series of letters to the Ripper Squad and successfully threw them off the scent for years, probably allowing Peter Sutcliffe to kill several more people when he might have been behind bars. Heavily illustrated and discusses many of the dead ends and go-nowhere leads followed by the police over the years. This book was published before the man was finally caught, so that enormous piece of the story is missing.
