just found a copy of this in my library. the first book i learned to "read"... or memorized and pretended i could read. still as emotionally affecting as it used to be. xoxo.
I've got to admit, I was never into Sesame Street as a child and I never understood the whole concept of the strange nonhuman puppets. But now that I'm an adult, I find them a little charming in an ugly sort of way. Everyone knows an Ernie and a Bert. It shows kids to have patience with one another and to be considerate of their living, school or work spaces.
This early reader works well for independent readers, as well as adults reading to children. A classic story line about accepting differences, apologizing, and how opposites can work together.
