There are many things that can capture the heart. The question Have you been paying attention? “That which dazzles my corporeal eye, I put together into corporeal signs. My creations just happen to have a verbal expression.” — Sabine Ruh House Sabine has been dabbling in poetry since childhood, influenced by her ever changing enviornment as a first generational immigrant Sometimes, certain words and phrases come together to give a sensation, which Sabine can only call synesthesia — some others might call it joy. Throughout her life, she keeps searching for that feeling. And with “ Playing with Phosphenes ”, she was able to put it on paper. Sabine draws inspiration from art to human experiences and makes them shine through beautiful, measured poetry. Like magpies flying overhead, Sabine remains curious and thoughtful. Her words invite the reader to walk in her shoes and visualize the world through her observant eyes and pondering heart. If you’re looking to see the world in a brand new light, let “Playing with Phosphenes” inspire you to dig deeper into the mundane, to paint a different color onto the dull, and to finally understand that life gives us multiple opportunities for joy.
I absolutely adore Playing with Phosphenes by Sabine Ruh House. With its lyrical and poetic style, House takes us on a journey of introspection and wonder through various realms of experience and art. The book captures the essence of life's simple moments and encourages us to slow down and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us. I was particularly moved by the way House captures the power of memories and emotions. Every phrase and verse expresses the deep feelings of life that often pass us by unnoticed and yet still remain so important. I was mesmerized by the way the words dance and interweave, creating a beautiful tapestry of human encounters and art. Overall, Playing with Phosphenes is an unforgettable and captivating journey that will leave you deeply moved. I highly recommend this book to all poetry fans and anyone looking for a soul-stirring and uplifting experience.
